"This is why we have launched Radical — a campaign for truth and freedom in what’s probably best described as the ‘gender recognition debate’. To some, this will already seemed loaded. We are marking ourselves out simply by being upfront about our commitment to searching out truth."

www.radicalsite.org/why

Not sure how this is going to work ie will they be commissioning articles or ..

They have launched via a Telegraph article - not sure if that reflects their politics or the fact that only right wing papers will have articles that include the concept that biological sex is a reality!

I'll talk to anyone willing to listen without telling me that we have mixed sex toilets at home or that intersex proves humans are non-binary.

I'm guessing it will be a news resource but maybe it will develop. Thanks for sharing OP, I'll be keeping an eye on this.

ambercarbo · 26/11/2019 21:26

Who is campaigning to get the GRA repealed pls, I'd like to get involved? Thanks.

Bronners1978 · 26/11/2019 22:10

How long before this lot set up a crowdfunded? How much money do you guys have to throw away on this and wouldn’t it be better to do something positive instead? Like helping your local food banks?

littlbrowndog · 26/11/2019 22:22

We can do both

GCAcademic · 26/11/2019 22:23

Thanks for your concern, but some of us silly little women earn enough money to be able to donate to more than one cause.

Inebriati · 26/11/2019 22:24

I don't consider money spent on preserving my existing human rights as having been thrown away, thanks all the same Hmm

Bronners1978 · 26/11/2019 22:33

What exactly has everything you’ve done actually achieved?

You’ve highlighted that trans health care is adequate, and that waiting lists are too long with people taking things into their own hands.

You’ve highlighted that some organisations are not following EHRC statutory guidance, though most are (and helpfully got a pledge from Labour to make sure everyone knows their duties).

Your constant attacks on the trans community, your attempts to push us back into hiding haven’t worked. The LGBT community is more united than ever, and we couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you.

AutumnCrow · 26/11/2019 22:36

How much money do you guys have to throw away on this

That's very intrusive

pombear · 26/11/2019 22:39

Hey Bronners!

As others have said. We can multi-task/multi-fund! Shocker, eh!

And we seem to have funded causes that have helped to open up the conversation that somehow was shut down previously.

And if you want to suggest that protecting women's rights and children's health =attack on the trans community. That's for you to explain why the two don't coexist well.

Constantly standing up for women's rights = constant attack on the trans community. Do elaborate.

And thanks for your contribution - discussion always helps to open up the debate and really shine sunlight on some of the issues. We could have done it without you, but your contribution is helpful!

AutumnCrow · 26/11/2019 22:42

Ok I've had a look at the website. There's not much content as yet. But there are two founders' names, a brief rationale, and a commitment to more.

I'm interested in what's next.

LangCleg · 26/11/2019 22:53

The LGBT community is more united than ever, and we couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you.

Fever dream. Take paracetamol.

IfIShouldFallFromGraceWithGod · 26/11/2019 22:55

LGBT United 😂

Inebriati · 26/11/2019 23:02

What have you achieved, Bronners? Are you claiming credit for the movement that got Karen White put on a women's psychiatric ward, and then into a women's prison?

What about all the mixed sex changing rooms that come with an increased risk of sexual assault to women and girls, and exclude many BAME women; is that one of your inclusive policies?

Who's responsible for the sudden and illegal introduction of mixed sex toilets in schools? Girls are getting bladder infections rather than risk using them.

How do any of these 'inclusive' policies benefit women?

YourOpinionIsNoted · 26/11/2019 23:05

More united than ever? Did Bronners miss the launch of the LGB Alliance?

CatalogueUniverse · 26/11/2019 23:15

Protecting existing hard won women’s rights from being eroded further and ideally restored to the original aims.

Concern about vulnerable children and young adults being assisted into irreversible body modification or sterility with associated health issues.

These align exactly with the usual concerns of women. The causes women have grass root funded like domestic violence shelters, Protection of women and children from abusive men within a system that does not protect them.

Funny how women’s rights and protections did not take any rights away from men. Except of course the right to sack pregnant women, to sexually harass women at work, to rape their wives, to beat their wives and children, to not pay maternity pay, to force women to give birth.

But

We still have huge numbers of non profit organisations helping women and children where the law has not protected them when it should.

Women’s health is subject to gatekeeping. There is no sterilisation or abortion on demand. Doctors routinely refuse to sterilise adult women. Here from NHS website

Is sterilisation right for me?

Almost any woman can be sterilised, but it should only be considered by women who do not want any more children or do not want children at all.

Once you're sterilised it's very difficult to reverse it, so consider all options before making your decision.

Sterilisation reversal is not usually available on the NHS.

You may be more likely to be accepted for the operation if you're over 30 and have had children.

May be more likely if over 30 and have had children.

And for abortion

speak to your GP and ask for a referral to an abortion service – your GP should refer you to another doctor if he or she has any objections to abortion.

So ask. And you may have to ask again until a GP is willing to refer you for a time sensitive procedure.

Compare the crumbs women have been grudgingly given to demands of other lobbying groups. Compare the rage of men when their ability to hurt women and children physically, emotionally and financially was reduced to the venom aimed at women who do not capitulate to demands.

Anyone shocked by women fighting back and not being nice has absolutely no idea what women actually are.

Good post Catalogue

@Bronners1978:

I'm a lesbian. I seem to no longer be a member of the LGBT community. Which is strange, because I don't remember leaving.
