I couldn't see if this has been posted yet...
A meeting last month to determine testosterone levels for transwomen competing in elite sport. Why do they focus on just this one measure?!

Because this is about male entitlement to female spaces, not about fairness. This group of biological males are taking E / reducing T anyway, so they are not Unduly inconvenienced by that particular rule. It allows them to keep the advantages of a male puberty in women’s sport.

Because there are a lot of issues bound up in it (including cash) and they are trying to be 'fair' to everyone! So they picked a measure from the squillions they had to choose from! They bowed to pressure and this dog's dinner is the result!

All that fucking research blown away by such shit! Can't believe I invested 20 years of my life to sport science for this to be the result. Glad I got out when I did.

This is just elite sports. Will still mean males taking girl's high school scholarships from boys in the US, and godknows what else in countries that will look to exploit this.

Although it doesn't go far enough, it is at least a start. And I believe that the reason for focusing on just this one measure is simply because there already exists a standard test and it is something that CAN be measured. I suspect (hope) that if/when more trans women begin to encroach on elite sport then more measures will be put in place.

Obviously - anyone born a male should not be competing as a female anyway...
