-it's my personal opinion.
-i'm not native english speaker so my english is not good.
-it's not about feminism/left thing

every time when i look at twitter youtube article comments section,
there's something like 'i think this kind of comments are bad for got supported.'

about transgender woman right things

-'oppressed woman right thing'
if make this issue matter of oppression, transgenders are positioning 'most oppressed.' so woman can't win.

-'man always take away what woman have.'
-'it's white man privilege!'
-"Patriarchy"
actually more man than woman think this trans ,self id issue a bonkers.
they knew their strength and danger very well. so they think trans in woman's space and sports is bad idea.

-'it's mans fault'
wrote above, men knew very well about this.
and i think actually there's more trans supporter in woman than man.

-something about feminism
let's accept. made this issue related with feminism is bad.
if keep doing that, best response we have is
'left eats left, where's my popcorn?'

-trans movement is right wing movement.
i'm ??? in this reaction, most push for gender right movement comes from left(liberal? neo liberal? ).(uk is weird case i think. maybe there's two group of tories. like some labor ,snp mp has side with woman.)

my solution is simple

-make focus this issues about common sense and normalcy and safety.

-protection for woman and girls, man and boys
ex) porno is bad for man and boys too.

-invite everyone
recent woman's place in uk events, if there are
tories, snp, greens, ukip(??), bxp, parents, muslim christians,
Jewish believers, asians, orientals(believe me we are going crazy
about kids), literally all of pp were there, it would be more successful.

have to make Alliance.
( maybe cautious)

by outsiders eyes

plus

'it's man invade woman's space.'

'man think trans woman in woman's sports bad idea.'

these are two group of man.
former is pro trans movement( or it self).
latter is definitely not pro trans movement.

i saw it piers morgan's twitter about nhs accommodation.
and guys will be curious why they have to take danger for saying 'no' to this issue.
and throw woman under bus.

simply screaming 'man invade!' turn off these latter men.

plus2

trans movement has face of woman.
(looks like woman large supporters are woman )
so i think it's hard for men to oppose.
it's like
'oh women like this, so be it.'
ex)sports, until female athletes vocally oppose, the movement can not be stopped i think.
when pp think 'this is ridiculous!'
then watch female athlete smiling with 'her'
'ok they think it's okay what can i do?'
pp just forget about.

Thank you very much skql, I think most of us will agree with your thoughts.

Grimbles · 02/10/2019 14:46

I think a lot of people, men especially, dont fully understand the situation and dont see the harm in being kind (well, for women to be kind). The truth is so absurd that I still cant quite believe that 'the woke' actually believe it.

@waterl00
thanks for reading Smile

@Grimbles
in my country trans movement isn't a thing, so when trans sports story popped up in our web, no one believe in that.

I just find that my DP hasn't got that visceral fear and upset I get when I think of potentially dangerous men finding a loophole which will allow them into women's spaces such as changing rooms and hospital wards. So though he understands it intellectually, it's not quite the same threat to him emotionally, if that makes sense. No offence meant to the men who totally do get it and have been fighting our corner though.

skql · 02/10/2019 15:14

@antibles
did you tell him it's not transsexuals but transgender?
(self id thing)
and what about sports??

days ago in my country transwoman invited in woman e sports,
but woman players keep silence while male organizer says no.

guys love fair competition thing, we focus on this aspect i think.
not about feminism, but common sense and fairness.

I really admire the work South Korean feminists are doing. How is the situation with the spy cam protests going?

TheChampagneGalop · 02/10/2019 15:39

Sorry you removed your comment should I remove mine too?

skql · 02/10/2019 16:09

@TheChampagneGalop

yes, i just remove my comment for private info. so...

actually i don't know much about spy cam.
out country is focusing on political matter and guy in north...economy...so ...but women are nervous about that.
but i think that matter not go away magically.
in my memory 90's there's spycam or guy watching woman peeing.
they always exist.

and feminism it self i think not good.
our generation separated two man and woman.
birth rate is declining, world's worst .
and even teenagers fought each other.

and what gov doing is....i don't know, just don't know.
not rational feminism, just make fight pp each other.

radical feminism is so bad bad bad (just my opinion)
some woman scared to be seen feminist.
(and i don't think my self feminist, either. confession)

That's exactly it. I dont think men get how threatened women feel about men in spaces where we are undressing/naked/ or otherwise vulnerable.

Most of them have nothing to compare it to - a woman in their space is not threatening, so they cannot truly empathise.

skql · 02/10/2019 16:25

i think society will be like japan on feminism. sadly.

because our feminism are so offensive but no direction.

i'm curious what uk/western feminist seem our feminism situation?

good bad? i need outsiders eye...
it's just my feeling but when i read western article it's so rosy.

My outside imoression, based on news articles, is that SK women are up against a lot of male misogyny and too high beauty standards
m.koreaherald.com/view.php?ud=20190131000865#cb
www.koreaexpose.com/plastic-surgery-popular-south-korea-history/

but that there are feminists who have created an impressive feminist movement with protests against the spy cam epidemic and beauty industry.

TheChampagneGalop · 02/10/2019 18:06

Impression, not imoression!

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 03/10/2019 08:10

I dont think men get how threatened women feel about men in spaces where we are undressing/naked/ or otherwise vulnerable.

I don't agree with this. It does appear to be true of the chattering classes but the majority of men I know in real life are working class and the most common reaction I hear from them is visceral and (trying hard not to break guidelines here) along the lines of 'if one of those f*** barges in on my wife/daughter/mother/sister there will be hell to pay'.
