Is the percentage high? I was having a conversation with my mum and brother about transgender people and the real threat to women. They both believe in gender and my mum expressed her sympathy for those trapped in the wrong body. But I don’t believe in gender only sex and stated as such and when asked my brother and mum to define a woman aside from a vulva they couldn’t. My brother (who is gay so has been on the end of some abuse) says transpeople have it tough and that not everyone is a predator. He couldn’t understand the threat of some men (he’s very tall and broad). I raised the toilet issue as I have dds and two have special needs so are very vulnerable. When I suggested unisex loos he thought people should use the loos in the gender they felt they were. I explained to both I don’t have an issue with transpeople but men pose a huge threat to women. After my mum admitted she’d feel uncomfortable if any obvious m2f was in the same changing area as her.
My question is how many of the trans women we hear about now have genuine gender dysphoria and who is just a feminine male? Or just likes wearing a dress?
