I started laughing at the stock image of crime scene tape and lots of police and police cars, and the animated 'graph' showing the increase of hate crimes without showing any figures at all. Didn't stop chortling until the bit about genocide.

There is nothing remotely funny about appropriating the darkest horrors from history and the worst atrocities human beings are capable of. And why? To manipulate impressionable young people into feeling sorry for a group with considerable power and privilege masquerading as victims.

They are just astroturfing this biased, bullshit interpretation of the law. IIRC MB even says it is the GRA that allows trans MTFs into women's spaces, not the Equality Act. Which isn't true. Unless you have a GRC which few do, and even then it's not actually something mentioned in that law, that sort of thing is within the purview of the Equality Act. I wonder if this "mistake" was intended?

I get equally angry at the childish tossing around of 'Nazi' since villages aren't being massacred and people forced into ghettos and death camps, but then empathy and respect for others aren't hallmark values of this lobby. More the tossing around of any word they perceive as powerful that might influence others to do what they want.

Back to Bergdorf - that video is bloody risible. I'm surprised that any brand wants to be associated with it. Apart from the stupid chart, the hyperbole and the terf modelled on Walliams' awful auntie, Bergdorf can't string a sentence together. Were people too scared to point that out in case they got accused of microaggressions?

I haven’t read the whole thread but isn’t the increase in transgender “hate crime” going to include women on twitter who get a visit from West Yorkshire police? In other words not actual crimes at all, but offending trans people’s feelings, or issues around Free Speech while many trans people threaten women with actual violence? A young transwoman (MTF) age 25 was found guilty of punching a 60 yr old woman in the face. NO women have been convicted of physical violence against any trans people as far as I am aware.

What is Monroe doing about all the violence against women? Many, many more women are victims of violence and murder than TIM.

Somehow it's fine for Munroe to regard the problems faced by actual women as not Monroe's problem, but us not regarding Munroe's problems as our top priority is "genocide".
