The more of us doing it the better @Treacleebee Grin.

Redshoeblueshoe · 21/09/2019 23:49

Excellent work MrsFogi

Freddiemercuarysmoustache · 22/09/2019 04:13

Iv never seen these before but will be keeping my eyes peeled for them in future.

ChattyLion · 22/09/2019 08:20

Stickerwoman is my absolute favourite superhero. Amazing how like Mother Christmas, she can be in zillions of places at once. Glitterball

Coolingfan · 22/09/2019 08:29

I may make my own for the "gender neutral" toilets I find:
Beware - a woman is more likely to be sexually assaulted in a mixed sex toilet.

ChattyLion · 22/09/2019 09:27

We had a great couple of threads a while back where women were reporting where they had seen the evidence of Stickerwoman and her superpowers, with links to various resources. MNers on there also had amazing design skills. Flowers

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3331514-anti-trans-vandals-are-plastering-vile-women-don-t-have-penises-stickers-around-london

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3342172-Thread-2-Anti-trans-vandals-are-plastering-vile-women-don-t-have-penises-stickers-around-THE-WORLD

More resources are linked to here on the also fabulous Get Offline thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3329362-Get-offline?pg=1&order=

I love it that Stickerwoman is leaving out reading material too. Gin

This is not something I can provide as I have zero graphic design skills but (KLAXON....) I was wondering if it might work to add a QR Code into some of the sticker designs?

To my eye, for example, A QR Code with its somewhat rough graphic appearance could be worked quite tastefully into one of the lightly trimmed-looking hairy bollock areas of the erect penis sticker whilst not jarring with the whole visual, er, flow ?

There are so many great info sites to link to it seems a shame not to share them with the world. Grin A personal favourite that brings lots of sources together is the Sex Matters website- set up by some brave and generous MNers who wanted to make more info available and draw together resources at the time of GRA reform consultation.

It has a great leaflet setting out the issues and a very handy set of links covering many of the key campaigning women’s groups in the UK:

www.sexmatters.org.uk/page2.html

Sex Matters are also on Twitter: mobile.twitter.com/SexMattersUK

In LGB spaces women may also be particularly interested in links to Get the L Out and the petition for Stonewall

www.gettheloutuk.com/index.html

www.ipetitions.com/petition/dear-stonewall-please-reconsider-your-approach

It would be really great to get this petition to 10,000 (the minimum floor for a petition to Parliament on their website to be debated in Parliament IRL)- obviously Stonewall aren’t bound by the same rules as Parliament but it will provide a good publicity point if that number is reached and Stonewall continued with the King Canute-like authoritarian #nodebate response they’ve stuck to, so far:

Thankyou Chattylion!
I was searching for those threads earlier- but wasn't sure how to link to them on my phone.

It's amazing how many places Sticker Woman can be in, all at the same time.

AVeryLong you are most welcome. Her superpowers are awesome. Glitterball

MontyPythonsFlyingFuck · 22/09/2019 10:27

Most of the links to stickers and leaflets seem to have expired, but there is one to a Dropbox that might be handy for some: www.dropbox.com/sh/czmqwqk8406zqpf/AAC5BrNOvAWGCDbjdPcSBzhIa?dl=0

Inebriati · 22/09/2019 11:25

This one hasn't expired. Its not by Stickerwoman, but by an admirer who obviously has mad Photoshop skills. Please share the URL and the contents, and any suggestions for future printables supplied on a handy A4 document for your printing convenience.
Smaller versions for sharing online also included.

Those are just the sort of thing needed, thanks for finding them.

ChattyLion--two of those accounts out of the four on the link appear to have been suspended. Says a lot, doesn't it?

www.sexmatters.org.uk/page2.html

ChattyLion · 22/09/2019 22:17

lionheart Yes. Those misogynistic enablers at Twitter are absolutely shameful.

However, if you click on the logos of any of the groups listed on the resources page on the SexMatters website, you can still get to their websites (even if they have been kicked off Twitter) so their info and contacts are all still available.

lionheart · 22/09/2019 22:22

Thanks ChattyLion. Smile

traceyracer · 23/09/2019 00:19

May I ask if this is legal?

averylongtimeago · 23/09/2019 09:18

Tracy - what are you asking about? GC Women being kicked off Twitter or people sticking small stickers in public places?

OP posts:
EmpressLesbianInChair · 23/09/2019 09:27

From memory I think Tracey isn't in favour of single-sex spaces, though I may be wrong on that.

MrsFogi · 24/09/2019 17:45

Tracy - why are you asking if it is legal? Perhaps to scare off a few people who may have decided to become StickerWomen? I think many women are so cross that the answer to your question from them is "I don't care whether or not it is legal".
This is the hill I am willing to die on - I will stick stickers every day to bring this to people's attention because I am horrified how we are not able to speak about this openly. If the law is ever changed to make misgendering a hate crime I will break it and will not refer to men as women. If by some misfortune I find myself in court and am asked to refer to a man as a women I will go to prison for contempt of court. I simply DO NOT CARE.

BeyondAvoidant · 24/09/2019 18:02

Someone stickered my wheely bin. I'm fairly sure it's legal to stick stickers on bins.

BeyondAvoidant · 24/09/2019 18:03

If not, all those people with numbers on theirs are gonna be getting visits from the PC PC...

averylongtimeago · 24/09/2019 21:20

I think stickers are an excellent way of spreading thought provoking ideas.
There is a long history of political fly posting on this country- Sticker Woman is simply carrying on in a distinguished tradition

OP posts:
boatyardblues · 24/09/2019 21:43

The Stickerwoman movement reminds me of the protagonist in Alone un Berlin. Sobering that this is what it’s come to in the UK in 2019. Hard to believe that stating biological fact is heresy.

boatyardblues · 24/09/2019 21:43
