I think I found this on Francis Wheen’s Twitter feed.

OP posts:

It was submitted for Wilson that a significant distinction was that the images did not involve children or abuse of children and it was said that Wilson "never intended any harm" to his victims.

Well isn't that completely predictable and fancy? The victims were women so who cares? And because the poor poor poor man didn't intend (wtf?) to cause harm it is totally okay.

The tribunal noted that [he] (sic) seemed to ignore "significant stress, humiliation and embarrassment that those victims suffered on learning of the offending".

Uh... yeah because he doesn't think he did anything wrong. Because obviously women aren't people and transgressions committed against them can just be washed away with explaining that the transgressor didn't intend harm. Makes total sense I think I'm getting it now.

Despite thinking "long and hard about making an order for cancellation", the Tribunal concluded that "this is not a case where such cancellation is necessary for protection of the public or maintenance of standards".

Yep nothing to see here people, move along slap on the wrist has been carried out - he is in no danger to any female patient known or unknown. Puppies, rainbows, unicorns, and candy - the world is just magical.

Repulsive man enabled by a repulsive system.

Persifleur · 18/09/2019 22:27

Riiight (having read the article), so women who were visitors to his house were not 'members of the public' (or possibly not even people) so that's all OK? Gotcha.

Persifleur · 18/09/2019 22:35

Francis Wheen, btw, is Joan Smith's ex and despite the ex-ness is still AFAIK a good bloke, an excellent journalist.

I am sick and tired of this fucking bullshit!

The men who destroyed me and my life were British Military.
Not only did the M.O.D go out of their way to protect them, the Met police colluded in that protction

At what point is a man going to be held properly accountable for his actions, without blaming the victim?

Why are excuses made, a reason found, highlighting his previous good character?

littlbrowndog · 18/09/2019 22:48

Disgusting creep and he’s a doctor.

He should have been struck off and not be near any vulnerable people

Why does it matter whether he intended any harm? He caused harm regardless of whether he's too misogynistic to go oh, hey, wait, might women be people who have their own opinions about the things I wan to do to them?

Backintheclosit123 · 19/09/2019 00:30

Par for the course here in NZ. Upskirting charges often get no conviction either. NZ is a strange mixture of total wokeness and macho misogyny.

Two sides of a coin. It gives a misogynist the perfect righteous and unassailable pleasure to be woke at the expense of women. It harms women and makes them look bad if they protest.
