Unisex toilets question

I have just avoided using these unisex toilets - I was under the impression that unisex toilets should be self-contained. Am I wrong? I took these photos after the pool had closed and the changing village was empty

You’re not wrong, they should be floor to ceiling cubicles with sinks/sanitary bins etc contained inside.

No, wouldn’t be happy with those. I would want them to be self contained with a sink and with the door opening up into a public corridor. I have no issue with using those sorts of toilets that I have described. Would have an issue with the ones in the picture especially if it’s somewhere where people are likely to have been drinking, such as a bar or club.

Thank you - I thought they didn’t seem right, but wanted to check that it wasn’t just me feeling uncomfortable about using them. They are at a Haven holiday park, within the changing village/pool area. It is quite a new pool. Is there any legislation or guidance that I could use to make a complaint about their provision? I had been googling, but could only find information about school toilets.

It's not right. That is what a lot of public toilets look like now - I had the unpleasant experience of changing sanpro next to a shitting man in a place like that the other day. Felt like no privacy.

Voice0fReason · 29/08/2019 23:25

That is awful. They just don't consider how people will actually feel using these places.
