I have just come across this, which seems to have slipped below the radar.
www.gov.uk/government/publications/national-data-strategy-open-call-for-evidence
It strikes me that women are stakeholders in this as it's important that data record sex, not gender as differences in propensity to violence for example seem to be down to sex, not feelz . It's now closed (they only allowed a month), but there is an email address for comments which seems to be open still. I will be sending an email asking them to be sure not to conflate sex and gender, and to record offences by reference to someone's biological sex. This is in reply to Q. 5.1:
"5.1. How effectively are government and the wider public sector collecting, sharing, analysing and storing the data it holds? What does good practice look like? What does bad practice look like?"
