Yaniv alert.

The co-chair of Open Labour, Emma Burnell, retweeted this.

twitter.com/hstanley_/status/1155367753538244610

"Hey @jack @Twitter You see how men are saying this? Can you reinstate all the women you banned for saying the exact same thing please?"

That tweet was in response to Maxime Bernier, French politician, referring in a Tweet to Yaniv as a man.

The trans cult were swift to act. Twice-removed indirect misgendering while ignoring the paedo alert.

Labour make a long statement about awful injustices visited upon trans people.

And not a cheep about the working class immigrant women who are being harassed. Because it's been a long old time since Labour gave any kind of toss about those people.

Emma grovels of course. Made to repeat the mantra.

twitter.com/EmmaBurnell_/status/1155795161399664641

"I agreed this statement, the sentiments and content. I am again very sorry"

Random person makes Emma affirm the vow: "Are transwomen women, Emma?"

Emma: "Yes, of course".

And that woman is back up on twitter complaining about the pile on. I thinking combing through old tweets and twisting them into a negative narrative creepy (someone did something similar to JK Rowling based solely on who she followed and liked) leading, of course, to her being denounced.

All this Labour denouncing other Labour members for transphobia. It is just so time-consuming for a start. Loooong statements from committees about "sadness", "re-education", "so sorry for the distress caused". For crimes of wrongthink like retweeting Hillary Clinton or something.

While the working class struggles with poverty, diminishing workers' rights, poor housing, inadequate access to health services.

Labour doesn't even see them.

They don't even register with Labour.

The long statement about Emma's crimes of transphobia, with the working class immigrant women in the Yaniv case just erased completely from the case. Because their harassment doesn't matter, their working conditions don't matter.

Who exactly is getting erased? And why?

That does not look like the right side of history to me.

Yes, the woke aren't garnering as many 'likes' as they expected. I think it's come as a bit of a shock to them, that they're not garnering the admiration that's their due.

It does feel very McCarthyish doesn't it? I'm reminded of the fabulous line playwright and author Lilliam Hellman used when she faced the House Un-American Activities Committee in the 1950s:-

"I cannot and will not cut my conscience to fit this year’s fashions."

Seems apposite. We could do with a bit more of that!

VicSynix · 30/07/2019 12:50

waves at Lawlsie I see you got bounced for just stating the truth on another forum we both frequent. Very McCarthyish..

drspouse · 30/07/2019 15:58

What's wrong with Hillary Clinton now??!

Lawlsie1976 · 30/07/2019 16:11

Hey there VicSynix

waves at Lawlsie I see you got bounced for just stating the truth on another forum we both frequent. Very McCarthyish...

Yes indeed. Nice to see am getting some support over there. (Forgive brief derailment of thread here please) The post they deleted was after my fury at the Guardian ignoring the letter from GIDS at the Tavistock warning about ROGD. My anger was over them centring wokey male feelz above children's safeguarding.

I'm so glad this place exists and these threads. They are keeping me sane when sometimes I feel as if I am going round the bend!

BettyFilous · 30/07/2019 17:37

I thought I recognised Lawlsie’s name. I used to post on that forum. Just checked for the first time in years and can see the thread that’s causing all the grief. Maybe its time I dipped in again.

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 30/07/2019 17:44

Yeah, I used to post there too, left because of this very issue.

Not going back though, too many good posters have gone now.

Sometimes lurk on Lawlsie's Twitter so knew she was up to speed on all this.

BettyFilous · 30/07/2019 17:47

It was a link to AIBU there that led me to MN. I haven’t looked back.

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 30/07/2019 17:52

Last I looked that thread was still running in its umpty-squillionth incarnation.

I used to love that thread.

Lawlsie1976 · 30/07/2019 18:19

Well hello! How nice to find friends here. I'm loving mumsnet. Even tho I'm not a mum. But I care about children and safeguarding (I'm a former Relate counsellor and have had training in it) and I was incensed when I found out the Guardian had ignored that letter from GIDS at Tavistock. This is all going to blow sky high one day. Would be nice if it could be stopped before more kids' lives are harmed. I won't have it that this makes a bigot I just won't!

You don't give a kid who's self harming a razor. And you don't give someone with anorexia a diet sheet!
