I was searching for statistics on the percentage of transwomen that have medically transitioned and I ended up on the wikipedia page that explains "Feminist views on transgender topics". I found it quite interesting, as it was clearly written/edited/controlled by "woke" people intent on giving a very non-feminist view of feminist views. One thing that really made me chuckle was this gem:

"Feminists who espouse transphobic views, including opposition to transgender rights and the inclusion of trans women in women's spaces and organizations, or denial that trans women are women, have been called "Trans-exclusionary radical feminists", or "TERFs". While these parties lack influence in mainstream feminism, they are relatively powerful in the United Kingdom, in
particular the British press."

Am I the only one that finds that statement fascinating?

If anyone is interested here's the link:

Not so long ago, Wikipedia were all about enhancing their credibility and were writing to academics like me to get us to write or edit entries relating to our fields of specialism. Now it’s just a propaganda tool.

I'm laughing. Mainstream feminism is the kind that men approve of, so it can get tae fuck, but I'm really enjoying the thought that I'm 'relatively powerful' in the UK.

Gangs of radfems, roaming the streets, handing out leaflets about legislation and having conversations with people. Truly scary stuff.

It's interesting reading the page and the discussions on it. I read it noting how unbelievably skewed it was towards including transwomen as women, with almost every source being sex-denying, so that any view that humans can't change sex and this having implications for life, was only presented by writers who disagree. Sheila Jeffrey is the only sex-accepting writer i can see cited on there. Then there are comments about how incredibly transphobic the entry is, simply for acknowledging that there are different views on the topic! Incredible.

But I agree about Wikipedia these days. Look at the Wiki definition of 'woman'. Wait for new editions of American dictionaries. Trans activists want to stop gender critical people from being able to refer to the dictionary definition of a woman.

Yes, it's a shame that anything quoted from Wikipedia is now met with derision. And reflects negatively on the quoter's argument.

I'm sure it used to be informative, not risible.

Every year Wikipedia ask for donations to cover their costs. I always used to donate. I won’t this year and will explain why.

What happened, did they get a transwoman in running the tech department or something?

It's quite sickening actually. Because school children often use Wiki for their "source of information".

Me too nettie434.
