Who should be invited to a Mumsnet webchat?

As a spinoff from the long JBP discussion I thought I'd start a thread to put that debate to one side (so don't mention him in this thread, pretty please with sugar on top) and see instead who people would like to be invited to take part in such a chat.

As I see it there are three main categories of invitee:

  • people you already know and like and would like to hear more from
  • people you already know and don't like who are due a rhetorical hauling over the coals
  • people you've heard about but want to find out more about.

Any takers?

Any trans rights activist. I have yet to hear any of them define the word 'woman' in a non-circular way. I want to know why.

Anlaf · 10/04/2019 21:53

ooooh!

How about Joan Smith?

Author of Misogynies, and I've just seen she has an upcoming book on terrorists and their inevitable background of domestic violence

I would like to ask if she has any advice about spotting coercive control in online communities and what is the best way for administrators to combat it.

That would be brilliant.

Betty Boothroyd.

She is my role model now for how I'd like to approach my older years. (The awesome peer is 89.)

So many older women are written off as having no agency or value. Boothroyd is there fighting for the young people of the UK.

And she'd give proper answers.

Masih Alinejad, the creator of my stealthy freedom

I would love to question Jacob Rees Mogg about his family's connections to the dreadful Waldorf schools

I would also like to have David and Samantha Cameron on here so I can quiz them about Kid's Company and another dubious charity of interest that they have supported.

Camila Batmanghelidjh - I have a load of questions for her.

Valerie Sinason and Rachel C Thomas of the Clinic for Dissociative Studies - I would love to take the opportunity to quiz them about their appalling abuses against vulnerable people

Also I would love to interview Prince Charles about his support for cults and quackery
