Monzo have just released their latest update on identity and inclusion (which obviously is a generally good thing)

However, I have a couple of issues which I'm not sure about.
They state that:
We’ve also started to improve the balance of age, gender and ethnic identity across Monzo
Which is obviously excellent, but:
The percentage of people who identify as women increased by 6.8% between January 2018 and December 2018. Specifically, we’ve seen a 0.5% increase in women in leadership, and a 4% increase in tech roles. Women now represent 22.86% of overall leadership. Women in technical roles now represent 30.41% of leadership, and 25% of all technical roles.
What does this actually tell them about the male / female split, or do they not actually care?
We reported on our gender pay gap in 2017 and 2018, and we’ll share another update in April 2019. We’ve also signed up to the Women in Finance Charter, committing to have women make up at least 40% of both our executive committee and our board.
Does the official gender pay gap reporting include TW as women? Ditto the Women in finance charter?
It looks very much to me as if they are chucking women under the bus, and not really caring - or is that just the way stats are reported?
