Not sure if this has already been posted......www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2019/03/20/second-woman-investigated-police-transphobic-comments/

OP posts:
Ereshkigal · 21/03/2019 13:34

Yes, and even on a smaller scale when I did some digging around Humberside police at the Harry the Owl time, I found that a former trans former officer had been awarded OBE or similar for advocacy work and due to this they had very strong links (as did the local prison) with a local trans charity and had had lots of training.

Ereshkigal · 21/03/2019 13:34

Former officer. Not former trans!

R0wantrees · 21/03/2019 13:39

Eresh Do you know detailsof the challenge by a male police officer who sought to hold a female warrant card (and with it assume the right to search females)?
I was rewatching PP on the This Morning interview with Ruth, Eamon & India & she talked about it.
Im also vaguely aware that there was discussion about a police officer who presents as both 'male' & 'female' and so has two warrant cards (don't know if two different officer numbers?)

Ereshkigal · 21/03/2019 13:53

Yes I remember that one with two warrant cards. It was a while back, 2016/17 I think. Callum was the male name ISTR

AstonishedFemalePersonator · 21/03/2019 13:53

Colin. And Abi.

Ereshkigal · 21/03/2019 13:54

Sorry was it Colin? Maybe there's a Callum doing something else Grin

Ereshkigal · 21/03/2019 13:55

Their identity has otherwise remained hidden, but they are now identifying as both genders after 13 years serving as a man, following the Met's 'Bring Your Whole Self To Work' diversity initiative.

AstonishedFemalePersonator · 21/03/2019 13:57

Sorry. I had remembered it as Colin.

R0wantrees · 21/03/2019 14:03

from the DM article,
(extract)
"A Scotland Yard police officer has become Britain's first gender-fluid cop and is carrying two ID cards, in the name of Abi and Callum.

Their identity has otherwise remained hidden, but they are now identifying as both genders after 13 years serving as a man, following the Met's 'Bring Your Whole Self To Work' diversity initiative.

Although the officer was terrified when they first came into work, they are now relieved that they are being accepted without having to hide anything.

The officer told the Sun: 'The first time I walked into a Met building as Abi, I was hyperventilating so much I almost passed out.

'Abi is a part of me that exists and I want that part to be recognised and validated"

So this is the Police Force's Philip Bunce?

Ereshkigal · 21/03/2019 14:13

It would seem so, R0.

R0wantrees · 21/03/2019 14:16

Is this the same officer that PP is talking about, who took Police to court to obtain a femail warrant card? I'd assume that carrying 2 (both 'sexes' ) came after some sort of precedent was set presumably by a male making a permanent transition?

Ereshkigal · 21/03/2019 14:19

Gender fluidity/non binary isn't really recognised in the EA. Which was a bone of contention for TRAs following the government response to the Trans Equality Inquiry and why they wanted the protected characteristic changed to "gender identity".

Ereshkigal · 21/03/2019 14:19

Yes I would assume that too.

R0wantrees · 21/03/2019 14:22

Non-Binary legislative protections/policies make any sex-based decisions impossible.
Its a trojan horse quietly trotting behind gender self-id proposals.

Ereshkigal · 21/03/2019 14:22

To throw them a bone the government told them they were protected under "discrimination by perception" and commissioned GI to write service provider and employer guidelines on trans. In which they told them it was likely to be illegal to discriminate against anyone claiming to be the opposite sex by not treating them as they identified.

Ereshkigal · 21/03/2019 14:23

Absolutely R0. Have said many times it's almost more of a threat to women's rights than male/female transgenderism.

Whatisthisfuckery · 21/03/2019 14:29

I imagine both a male and female warrant card might come in quite handy. A violent male suspect or a gang of teenage lads causing trouble, no problem, male. A female suspected of carrying drugs about her person, out comes the female warrant card, now stand still while I conduct a full body search.

Of course it’s rather easier for the police to focus on transphobic hate crimes as there’s very few of them, and they can encourage a bunch of reports from white middle-class middle-aged males who’ve been hurted on social media, which is nice easy work. Racism, well they don’t really give a shit about that anyway, and sexism, what now?

R0wantrees · 21/03/2019 14:37

Absolutely R0. Have said many times it's almost more of a threat to women's rights than male/female transgenderism.

It is of course more of a threat to women's rights but also represents some very serious additional threats to Safeguarding frameworks.

That in North America young people are having what was previously described as neccessary transgender surgery and medical interventions based on their non-binary 'identity' means an end to any pretence or possibility of there being a medical need /checks & balance and duty of care.

Whatisthisfuckery · 21/03/2019 15:20

It’s creepy as fuck. It’s like a cross between shape shifting and an all access security force/hit squad. Some pushy guy is hitting on you in a bar so you nip off to the toilets to get away from him, but no, he’s just magically taken on his woman persona and he’s in there after you. It’s horribly destabilising, not to mention incredibly dangerous to women.

BlooperReel · 21/03/2019 15:35

When is someone in the police force going to tackle SG's vaxatious reporting of noom-fucking crimes.

'Mis-gendering' is not a crime,. Not subscribing to trans ideaology is not a crime. Stating actual, proven facts is not a crime. I am sure she is watching here, well Susie, fucking get over yourself.

Huh, figures, so she is cossetted and revered by all the trans allies and the institutes they have infiltrated.

R0wantrees · 21/03/2019 16:38

It seems to be a close knit mutually supportive group.

Those TRAs promoting the rights of adult males are very invested in supporting Mermaids, Susie Green and other TRAs who support and affirm children.

cf Tonight's Dundee Evening Telegraph:

'Dundee Trans Pride headliner dropped after alleged threat to ‘throat punch’ women’s group'
(extract)
The headliner of the long-awaited Trans Pride march taking place in Dundee next Saturday has been dropped after being charged by police.

Peyton Rose Monteux, who performs under the name Peyton Rose, was charged by officers in connection with a tweet in which she is alleged to have urged people to “throat punch” members of a women’s group For Women Scotland. (continues)

Trans Pride Scotland hopes next Saturday’s march in the city centre will provide a safe space for all trans people and their supporters, highlighting the need to protect transgender people from harm.

Figures from Stonewall suggest that two out of five trans people have been threatened with violence in the last five years.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Police in Edinburgh have charged a 27-year-old woman in connection with a communications offence following a threat being made on social media, which was reported to police on Tuesday March 19. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
