It's shocking isn't it? My formative years were in the 90's when ladettes started behaving badly like in the bar scene, which I think was a backlash, but then we seem to have had a backlash to the backlash and we're no further on.
In my experience men just don't realise that this happens, or fail to apprecate the cumulative effect so whilst one incident could be brushed off the never ending stream is what wears you down. I'm extremely lucky that no-one gives a rats ass about my appearance where I work but I have applied my fair share of slap to fit in perviously.
I think the every day sexism project is a good starting point but how can we get men to agree that every instance of discrimination needs to be challenged?
