Have you ever worked in niche magazine publishing, Andie?

I did ten years on a title with a similar audience to Terrorizer, it’s an absolute fucking nightmare trying to sell enough advertising to cover print and distribution costs and pay staff, especially in the Internet age.

Not sure why you think this is relevant to the thread? Although I suppose both stories are old news at this point.

Yeah

Im not sure either

This thread's a zombie.

Am also unsure why you'd resurrect it for an off topic (to the court case) post.

I've met Louise a number of times, she's a friend-of-a-friend sortathing. She's a lovely woman and an absolute heavy music fanatic. But that doesn't mean she's totally cut out for being a hard-nosed business-woman, which is what is required when working for such a magazine, or any really in this economic environment. I know it all took its toll on her health and I'm sorry for that but business can be a horrible cut-throat thing and not all of us are suited to it. I know I'm not

Sounds like you've never worked in a corporate environment andie. As a junior I regularly worked later than midnight (we all did)... sometimes through until 7.00am. Yes it can suck and if you hate it enough, you leave - so am glad Louise did and is happier now.

Whilst I appreciate she's (Miranda) politically useful I'd be suspicious of her motives

WTF?? I don't regard Mir as "politically useful" but as an intelligent, funny and decent person - I am more suspicious of your motives here, to be honest!

DuMondeB · 08/10/2019 17:57

Also, anyone who uses ‘she/her’ for Miranda probably isn’t a GC person.

KatvonHostileExtremist · 08/10/2019 18:17

Ha! Got them DuMonde

EmpressLesbianInChair · 08/10/2019 18:25

Can anyone be bothered to report Andie for misgendering Miranda?

DuMondeB · 08/10/2019 18:53

Naw, it’s an informative post, but not for the reasons the poster intended!

Bit like when an unknown poster made a thread about a tragic news story involving a completely different Miranda Yardley who lives in a different part of the country.
