Sorry to be crude. But nowadays you can buy a whole range of anaesthetic creams, gels and sprays so that you don't feel the Osijek of being gang banged or fisted or fucked hard analog or gag when you've had a cock shoved down your throat.

Tell me again how porn is liberating

Osijek
At first glance I thought you meant Osimek, as in John Osimek. Funny how auto correct works operates sometimes.

OrchidInTheSun · 02/02/2019 09:14

Autocorrect! It's the 4th largest city in Croatia apparently (god knows what I actually typed!)

Someone from Croatia will read this thread and be very confused as to why MN doesn't want people to have sex there.

Porn is mot real. James Bond is not real, although etter acted! I don’t know the solution if people think either are.

NotMeOhNo · 02/02/2019 09:46

I also thought you were using Ozimek, and inventing an adjective for sexual pain in honour of the great porn advocate.

Justhadathought · 02/02/2019 10:32

Porn is real though. Real women are hurt in porn, and it goes on to be used on real women. The idea that what we read or view or fill our days or minds with does not effect us in 'reality' is very naive.

Justhadathought · 02/02/2019 10:38

A lot of these activities are performed by both men and women. If they choose to have S&M or anal sex or give blow jobs then we can t police the bedroom. It’s freedom of choice, and that includes to buy these products. People will experiment. Some of the activities make me feel nauseous but everyone is different and should have the freedom to enjoy what they enjoy

You completely miss the point, and the reality, that exposure to this sort of stuff normalises it. We are all, especially young minds, susceptible to being influenced, and having our desires shaped and formed by what we view, or are exposed to. To be exposed to such degradation is damaging; and those who are on the receiving end of such degradation are being abused - even if they 'consent' to it.

MagicMix · 02/02/2019 11:39

StarlightLady There are a lot of lies and misrepresentations in porn which are damaging to children who take it as sex education, but sadly it is very much real. A stunt actor in a James Bond film is not really being shot. A woman in a porn film is really having a penis rammed down her throat until she chokes. It's not simulated like a sex scene in a film. It's filmed prostitution.

I don't know the solution if people are so caught up in the porn industry's lies that they have forgotten that those women on the screen are real women who don't deserve to be treated like that. Porn is not fantasy.

Oxytocindeficient · 02/02/2019 11:41

StarlightLady it is real though, the acts you’re watching are very much real and the kind of injuries female porn stars experience are real too. Perhaps that’s part of the problem we have, people like you aren’t actually understanding that it is in fact extremely real.

MoorMummy · 02/02/2019 11:42

Sorry, I’m checking out. We are no longer civilised. Just horrible.

Poppyred85 · 02/02/2019 11:48

I’m wondering how long it will be until “but she consented” is used as a defence in which a woman either suffocates/ near suffocates or suffers some form of aspiration related lung problem after using a throat numbing spray. There’s a reason why having one as a local anaesthetic for a medical procedure comes with strict instructions about what and when you can safely eat and drink afterwards.

barelove · 02/02/2019 13:02

Anyone who excuses porn because they personally find it liberating are just not considering the negative, damaging, painful, degrading, traumatic, barbaric influence porn has on the majority. Empathy and critical thinking don't come naturally to everyone.

Floomph · 02/02/2019 13:10

This is horrible.

And I agree that many women will say yes to more extreme things either in a bid to attract/keep a man (if they're vulnerable) or because they feel they're being boring if they say no. You have to unpick all of that and work out how many women really want to do this kind of thing (hint, not many)

WrathofRancidKlopp · 02/02/2019 13:14

Since men like to name things after themselves. The Ozimek meme is perfect. Thanks Orchid I'll add it to my lexicon. Grin

barelove · 02/02/2019 13:24

When my son got his first smart phone at 15 we talked about porn and the ease of access he'll now have to it. I urged him to avoid watching it as much as possible and instead put all his energy into finding a partner who he cared for. Then, as long as they both wanted the same thing, to explore their blossoming sexuality together, learning how each others sexual bodies worked, what each other really liked and what they didn't like. Obviously, consent and safe sex was totally discussed. They are still best of friends and I'm guessing 'numbing lubricants' will never feature in their future sex lives. Our youth need conversation and support around their transformation into sexual adults. A safe environment to bring consenting partners home to is also good. Without this support, porn will be the main influence and thats just f*cking sad.

Racecardriver · 02/02/2019 13:27

Wouldn’t that make it difficult for the men they are having sex with as well?

MagicMix · 02/02/2019 13:55

Nobody should be anaesthetising themselves in order to endure sex. Man or woman.

TheQueef · 02/02/2019 14:00

Women can now buy sex Anaesthetic at the same time as she buys the kids Xmas toys and a new tin opener.
Just so she can deep throat.

This is fucked up.

BlancheM · 02/02/2019 14:16

Urgh, I clicked on this having misread and thought it was said 'aesthetics'. Thought it would be about rising numbers of women getting their bits sliced off to conform with neat porn fannies. Turns out it's worse than I thought.

ohamIreally · 03/02/2019 11:00

I thought the same Blanche.

WokerThanWoke · 03/02/2019 19:01

So did I Blanche.

I remember watching a documentary - possibly about the mega brothels in Germany and one of the women showed her numbing cream. Grim.

OrchidInTheSun · 03/02/2019 19:07

I'm really sorry. It's absolutely revolting isn't it? Sad

OP posts:
Lockheart · 03/02/2019 19:42

I saw this twitter thread a couple of days ago.

Whilst I think this is revolting, it does look to me like the majority of those products are marketed to male homosexual couples. The Ann Summers one is the only one which stands out to me as being marketed to women.

I have no idea how these are products can be sold on a mainstream platform such as Amazon where anyone, including children, could find them. Frankly I can't even understand why they're considered legal, but I find the hyperbole of the twitter thread problematic. Literally in the second sentence they claim the days of enhancing women's pleasure are gone. I see far more pleasure enhancing gels or lubes on the market than those with anaesthetic, which aren't something I've ever really seen before. I imagine it's because they're usually marketed to the more extreme end of the gay market and so there would be no need for me to have seen them!

Vinorosso74 · 03/02/2019 19:49

Jeez. This is shocking. Sex should be enjoyable for all parties involved without the need for anaesthetic.
I do worry about kids growing up and what will be viewed as acceptable. I feel like we're going backwards in how women are regarded in sex.
