Im a regular poster elsewhere but have nc'd for this.
I'm in the middle of realising how preposterous some of this trans debate stuff is getting... you could say the scales are falling from my eyes. I've always considered myself a feminist but never really 'come out' as one, as it were.
Looking at a few bits online and saw a bbc debate between a young radical feminist and trans woman, felt I should really start educating myself.
Recommend me some low cost reading to get started? ha ha!

You won't even need books.

This blog is brilliant for outlining the background of where we are now, and is a great place to start

Sometimes I think real life or this forum are where you get it. I bought a book about feminism that told me you only become feminist as a woman of a certain age (not sure what age). Growing up in a feminist household, I’ve been a feminist since I could.
Read a book if you want to, but its not the be all and end all.

Are there any books, sites, etc, that analyse films and literature in feminist terms? I recently encountered the concept of the “last girl” in film (possibly on here? can’t remember where it was discussed) and would like to find out a bit more. (The last girl being the last of the group to survive and overcome/escape the killer/monster in horror genre, who is always identifiable by her sexual purity. )
