Has anyone had Stonewall diversity training?

Has anyone here had Stonewall diversity training?

What did they cover? How did people receive it?

My employer is thinking of getting them in for diversity training. How can I persuade them to think again? (Assuming it is trans propaganda, as I suspect it is).

I'd be tempted to go to the training and ask pertinent questions.

Yes, I must admit I'm curious how they'd cope with my questions!

But I'd rather they didn't come at all, if it's going to be as I suspect it will be. I wanted to know if I've got it right, before bringing it up at my work.

My employer hasn't got very far down the road of making this happen, I was hoping I might be able to divert them before they've actually committed to anything.

Yes I have. About three years ago. As far as i recall it was quite basic and relaxed. Mostly about correct terminology then looking at case studies. Myself and a couple of others asked questions but just got waffely answers. I suspect training will be much more agressive now since trans lobby have taken hold. You could point to the fact that stonewall have actively campaigned and lobbied the government to remove sex as a protected characteristic and how this impacts on the equality act re privacy dignity and safety of girls and women

They make you feel relaxed by starting with “gender isn’t the same thing as sex” and talking about how “if you’re cis, it won’t impact you at all”.

They’ll avoid discussing anything controversial eg important edge cases like, “so, should a pre op college freshman trans woman have a male or female roommate?” Which would lead to actual discussion. If you bring it up they will point out it’s “rude” to ask about people’s private parts.

Ultimately the best you can do is to ask ask ask. “What’s gender identity?” “That sounds a lot like stereotypes I reject”. “Oh It’s not stereotypes? What is it then?”

“Oh it’s how you feel? How does being a woman feel? Id say I feel like me, not like a woman.”

“Oh it’s ok to feel that way and still be a woman? Then if being a woman isn’t about feeling like one then what is it about?”

“Oh ok so gender identity is just how I choose to refer to myself? Ok but how is that more important than biological sex?”

“Oh it’s not more important, they are equally important? So why segregate for privacy by gender id instead of sex?”
