Penis News celebrates re-education of 'older woman' Rose McGowan after her run-in with transgender child predator last year

Rose says we shouldn't be scared of 'transness', after a transwoman, who is reported to have preyed on children, tried to take over Rose's talk about '#metoo' to say that Rose should talk about transwoman being killed, instead of Rose's actual lived experience as a woman.

Obviously now Rose is much wiser etc.

In other words, Rose McGowan's book about being molested by predatory males is debased by predatory male, Andi/Andrew Dier, and Penis News' takeaway from this event is that she has apologised for 'transphobia'

Thanks, Penis

The way Rose McGowan was treated by press, Twitter, and so-called feminists was my peak trans moment. The pure hatred I saw aimed at her was a massive shock, and all because she casually mentioned in a podcast that trans women have a different experience of puberty.
I don't know what Penis News have come up with or whether she has apologised or not, but the pure misogyny I saw then cannot be unseen and she is the one who deserves an apology imo.

Oldermum156 · 18/01/2019 20:33

She is terrified not to submit. They will destroy her otherwise.

FloralBunting · 18/01/2019 20:43

Not a huge surprise, is it? Abused, vulnerable woman capitulates and grovels to men for stepping out of line after receiving massive opprobrium from people she thought would protect her, pouring scorn on other women who are still rebelling. Coping strategies are funny old things.

Rose's current partner (according to media reports) identifies an non-binary. Might go some way to explain it but it is uncomfortable to watch, there seems a disconnect.

Daily Mail article 5 January 2019
(extracts)
"And Rose McGowan and her non-binary partner Rain Dove have now shared sweet details about their romance.

The Charmed actress, 45, and model, 29, who prefers the pronoun 'they', revealed how they met, their first kiss and when they first dropped the love bomb.

Talking to PinkNews, Rose revealed that Rain came over to her house in February 2018, following an incident with a transgender protester at a reading from her book, Brave, at Barnes & Noble in Manhattan's Union Square.

The actress admitted to the publication that she was 'not in a place to meet anybody' but they did and kept in touch.

Rose went on to reveal that she 'reconnected' with Rain when they were both in London and she asked the model out to dinner.

With Rain admitting that they shared a kiss on their first date, they said: 'The first time meeting you was more profound than the first time kissing you.

'So it’s really hard to remember like – the first kiss is supposed to be your most amazing kiss, but if you have a lot of amazing, intimate moments with somebody, it’s really hard to pinpoint. I would say it would be that night, though, yeah.'

Talking about their romance, Rose added: 'It is my first time dating a non-binary person, and yeah it’s nice not going out with a man.'

Rain went on to reveal that they told the actress they were in love with her during a car ride in LA, adding that it was 'really cool'.

'I think all people are androgynous,' Dove told Buzzfeed in a 2015 interview. 'It's just that we've created these genders.

'I think that "androgynous" applies to someone who doesn't appear physically to be gender specific — you won't be able to figure out what's in their pants.'

I admire Rain Dove! Gender bending , confident, funny, gorgeous, original. Maybe Rose is just putting out this "apology" to buffer any criticism/blowback on her lover.
The people over on Penis news are not going to let her forget anyway.
I wish them well

SunsetBeetch · 19/01/2019 16:03

Same here StarsandWater. I find this very sad. Rose seems fragile to me, and the gaslighting of an abused women by these misogynists infuriates and disgusts me. She looks like she's been brainwashed by a cult.

LangCleg · 19/01/2019 16:11

It's a fucking hostage video.

Dear Prick News

We're not in Gilead yet. So why don't you just fuck the fuck off?

Truthfully, I am very disappointed in Rose. Her courage and vulnerability regarding MeToo was impressive, and she was in the position to be a strong and lasting voice for women. I can only imagine the garbage she was subjected to by TRAs, but her comments here are very sad. I thought she was made of tougher stuff. We need more fighters!

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 19/01/2019 17:35

Horrible isn't it.

Ineedacupofteadesperately · 19/01/2019 17:44

God, "they" might not have a gender, fine, good, but "they" have a biological sex which anyone will know if they look at them. Why are we expected to act like this suddenly does not matter and is not important when it clearly has done throughout all of human history and in all mammalian species, and still does matter in so many ways, human reproduction (babies!) and disease being two of the many.

The earth is flat (and repeat)

Poor Rose.

But I’m seeing more of this “old” vs. “young” narrative. It’s all part and parcel of the way the young are being taught to think it was the old who stole the wealth of their nations and not the 1%. Gulags or ice floes, take your pick, if you’re over 40

18th January 2019 National article:
'Why we have so much to learn from ‘old and irrelevant’ women'
By Shona Craven
(extract)
"I DIDN’T intend to spend my evening eavesdropping on one of Canada’s most prominent transgender rights activists. I was in Vancouver, attending a high-profile event featuring the country’s leading feminist journalist, and shortly after I took my seat I became aware of a running commentary from immediately behind me. I heard a nasal male voice pointing out “that poster woman” before issuing a barbed verdict: “She’s a lot more old and irrelevant than I thought.”

A lot of “old and irrelevant” women – by which I mean experienced, wise and inspiring adult females – had gathered to hear Meghan Murphy talk on Gender Identity Ideology and Women’s Rights. Joining Murphy on the panel was the old and irrelevant Lee Lakeman, who first opened her home to abused women in the 1970s and spent four decades providing frontline services to those fleeing violence; and the old and irrelevant Fay Blaney, an activist, educator and advocate for indigenous women who currently runs a project empowering marginalised women to create social change.

When old and irrelevant women get together in large numbers, you can feel a buzz in the air. There’s something electrifying about occasions when these women – the ones who certain men really, really wish would shut up – stand their ground, pick up microphones and share what they have learned from a lifetime of resistance." (continues)

concludes, "It will take more than trumped-up claims of human rights violations to stop strong, passionate women like these from assembling, asserting their rights and naming biological sex as the source of their oppression. Lee Lakeman spoke not just for old and irrelevant women, but for unstoppable young activists too, when she issued a warning that raised the roof: “To those who imagine you can bully us into submission: you are clearly unfamiliar with us.”

I find it difficult to work up much feeling about this, tbh. She has done what she needed to do to get ahead in an unforgiving industry. She's an actress - someone who is paid to say someone else's words. I'm genuinely sorry she has been abused and harassed in her life, but is it any wonder she has done this?

The less we look to celebrities to lead the way in this issue, the better. They are part of the problem, working in a system that creates to very propaganda we seek to destroy. How can any celebrity truly be on side?

WaxMyBalls · 19/01/2019 18:37

Gross.
