Aside from the fact that intersex has nothing to do with transgenderism, about 99% of people with the condition are either XX or XY - it's an umbrella term covering a range of conditions affecting the genitals and reproductive system. Many are born with genitals that are recognisably male or female and some don't have their condition diagnosed until adolescence. The most common intersex condition is probably hypospadia, which is a deformity of the penis.
Yes, some intersex people do identify as transgender, but that's their choice; most people with an intersex condition identify as their biological sex.
Now, how come I - an ordinary, nonacademic woman - know more about this than somebody who has supposedly spent years at medical school learning all about biology and anatomy?
