Question re puberty blockers?

I have read that young people (female more than male I think?) who start on puberty blockers nearly always follow through all other treatments. Does this mean through to hormone treatment, or to top surgery, or further? Would love some clarity and also links to reputable sources if you have them . (I want all my ducks in a row as I start sharing my concerns with folk in my life) Thanks in advance.

Is the high follow-through due to the effects of the blockers, or more about the pro-trans support surrounding the adolescent?

From what I gather it's moving onto cross-sex hormones on a permanent basis and top surgery. The rates of bottom surgery are still low.
Sorry I can't link. My post is more of a 'bump'.

I think the study showed that 95%-100% of people who started blockers in early stages of puberty progresses onto cross-sex hormones, many of whom will then also have GRS.

Whereas those who are not given blockers, 90% desist and become comfortable with their sex after puberty.

The suggestion being that progressing through puberty naturally "cures" most children who think they are trans. This could be because puberty also develops the brain from a child's brain into an adult's. Blockers will stop that brain development (and also damage IQ).

Another potential reason is that blockers stopping the development of the body means that you never learn to accept your sexed body, because it never develops, so once you've permanently stopped your body developing into an adult female, your only option is to try to turn it into a facsimile of a male body, hence going whole-hog on cross-sex hormones and GRS.

Polly Carmichael reported in 2016 that of 162 patients who had puberty blockers, only 2 stopped - the other 160 went on to hormone therapy. There is quite a bit of interesting information on this page:

growinguptransgender.com/2017/11/27/puberty-blockers-gnrha/

about half way down the page, they talk a lot about Polly's conference presentation. (the site as a whole is very affirmative).

The site reports Polly as speculating on why this might be: either, she says, they aren't putting enough children forward for puberty blockers (the argument being, I suppose, that they're only recommending a 'hard core' who, we shouldn't be surprised, go on to take hormones); or else, perhaps taking puberty blockers is itself a treatment that influences whether you go on to take hormones.

Re puberty blockers, there is an article in the NZ journal 'Redline' (Marxist Socialist Analysis) called 'Death by Puberty Part 1', which you might find helpful. Sorry I can't link, I did try, but it didn't work for some reason.
