Just wanted to share this project as their Christmas campaign looks great. They’ve asked a number of charities including refuges, homeless shelters and food banks to create Amazon wish lists for things their service users have requested for Christmas. I thought that was a particularly nice touch as while I’m sure it’s just nice to receive anything at all when you have nothing, it must be even better to get something you want. I’ve donated to Emmeline’s Pantry which sounds fantastic. They’re a food bank in Manchester set up to help women. The wish list broke my heart a bit as there’s a lot of baby toys interspersed with things that are so obviously requests from teenagers like Ariana Grande perfume and a Superdry watch.
I would love to win the lottery and fulfil all the requests but thought I’d highlight it here as I know many of us have stopped donations to bigger charities recently because of their views. All the charities are so tiny I think a small donation or buying a small gift would mean a great deal to the people involved
