I love it. Am off to spend the weekend with DSD and her family so will share it with her and her DD. DD started her periods and isn't happy about them so this may cheer her up slightly. Probably won't watch it with her, though will with DSD.

onlyconnect my dd13 thought it was hilarious. Dd8 is asking lots of puberty questions at the moment and she loved the idea that vulvas could be all those things; pretty, funny, fascinating.

Everyone needs to see this. I'm amazed it got through the 'woke' filters tbh. 5 years ago it would've been seen as progressive, these days it could probably be viewed as literal violence. Ho hum .......

That's because things that look like vulvas are everywhere in nature, which is why men have spent a large part of history erecting penis-y monuments all over the place in a collective fit of pique.

This needs to be watched by anyone who was born with a vagina and vulva. It's awesome (to paraphrase shaggy from scooby doo who probably never got to see a real one)

I hope pointing this out will help defuse some of the ageist bias against older women, people & "pensioners" common among woke youth today - a bias that sometimes rears its head even here on these feminist threads. Yes, this ad is hip, "au courant" & pro-women, totally 2018/19. But the song at its heart was written & released 43 years ago by a woman who in January 2019 will turn 81! Let's honor her for her contribution along with the contribution of the clever video artists & others who made this ad.

I’d be even happier about this great creative vulva showcase, if it weren’t part of an advertising campaign for products that hurt the environment (landfill) and women’s bodies (chemicals). Let alone the completely unnecessary ‘wipes’ and ‘gels’, which encourage the idea that women are smelly or dirty ‘down there’.

Ah well, I guess we can’t have it all (yet). By the way, if the eggplant is the emoji of choice for penises, which one is for the vulva? This one, mebbe? 👛

My dd has that doll. She is called Lamily, and has normal body proportions. I think you can get san pro stickers for her ? You can get stickers of scars, stretch marks etc, to make her unique.

Just went back to watch it again. I can only speak for myself but it was OK - not registering on the 'uncomfortable' radar at all. Not quite sure what all the excitement is about.
