Younger people will recognize the song in this great ad as Fatboy Slim's 1998/9 release, "Praise You," made famous by the hilarious video by Spike Jonze featuring lots of goofy, ungainly dancing:
But in fact Fatboy Slim's "Praise You" was a (properly credited, copyrighted & compensated) reworking of an original song from 1975 by Camille Yarbrough:
I hope pointing this out will help defuse some of the ageist bias against older women, people & "pensioners" common among woke youth today - a bias that sometimes rears its head even here on these feminist threads. Yes, this ad is hip, "au courant" & pro-women, totally 2018/19. But the song at its heart was written & released 43 years ago by a woman who in January 2019 will turn 81! Let's honor her for her contribution along with the contribution of the clever video artists & others who made this ad.
