I'm fuming - just read that this man has objected to something which would have tackled FGM. What is wrong with people?!?!

This is the same tosser who blocked the upskirting bill.

NotTerfNorCis · 24/11/2018 09:48

He says it's principle, that he doesn't agree with private members' bills.

Principle doesn't get in the way when the bill is something he wants, though.

someone should cut his .... off (fill in the blank as you see fit)

He strikes me as a total misogynist hypocrite, I am nothing to do with government but I feel utterly embarrassed that this is how our parliament functions. A man who claims to disagree with a way of making laws repeatedly gets to disrupt the prevention of crimes against women.

Why do parliament tolerate this? If an MP disagrees with a process, then he/she should lobby to change it. As it is, they can abstain. But blocking the process from happening at all is outrageous. How is this being tolerated? He is disrupting the functioning of parliament.

I'm so angry about this I started an AIBU! He is popular with his constituents so I think he will be doing this for many years to come. Despicable behaviour Angry

FFS the absolute cockwomble. God he enrages me Angry

This man freely admits he is only interested in some weird principle and is happy to disrupt democracy in order to pursue that. I understand that if people keep voting for him he can continue to be an MP, but why don't his party do something? Surely they must see how awful his behaviour is. It's completely undemocratic. Can't they deselect him for not complying with the spirit of the democratic process?
