A family member is a nurse working in a NHS community service. They have to go through all sorts of mandatory training, including recently one on Transgender Pathways.
They told me the specialist GP giving the lecture told them if someone consults the NHS showing signs of gender dysphoria, they refer them along, and ultimately the patient has a blood test which is used to diagnose transgender based on chromosomes.
But that seems to me like NHS doctors treating trans as intersex, and conflating the two. Am I missing something?
Is there another thread on this I should read to inform myself?
