I had not heard of them before and some quite odd results came up on Google. (Not least the only named officer in the recently dissolved Bitshark company is about 95 years old.)

It's strange to me that people who go on about freedom of speech are not all over this issue. Though am I imagining it but did Jordan Peterson mention deplatforming Meghan Murphy on Qt? This is such a serious concerted effort to shut down one political view point and discussion. It should be setting all the free speech noses twitching. I can stab at why it's not being picked up as a freedom of ideas issue but it still seems odd.

From what I've picked up it is because of the Canadian waxing tw and because of wordpress new deadnaming guidelines. There are many instances where it's necessary to point out the previous identities people have gone by if they are up to no good or it casts a new light. Yaxley Lennon for example. This is serious.

This is becoming increasingly difficult to do because alternative to mainstream platforms are being picked off either by payment processors like Paypal and MasterCard directly or their web hosts being targeted in the same way.

There has been a lot of controversy recently around Gab and Bitchute for these reasons.
