Sorry it's about the toilets

I'm a cleaner, and in the course of my job I've noticed that women never have toilets to themselves (Ok rarely) I was used to seeing the women and baby changing ones that's fairly common in older buildings but now I'm seeing more new buildings with women, disabled and baby change all in one cubicle with one loo avaliable the gents in comparison has a toilet and a urinal to themselves so now women have to share their space with men and women who are disabled babies and small children and men who feel they are women

It made me irrationally angry at work

I don't blame you.

And if I were a disabled man I'd probably feel incredibly uncomfortable about that too.

It goes against the grain of providing loos specifically for disabled people.

It’s not on to expect people with disabilities to wait while babies’ nappies are changed. It can take ages.

This is at our station.

They have changed the setup so that there is

one toilet which is unisex + disabled
one toilet for men with a urinal an presumably at least 1 cubicle

so men get more facilities than women, while it is women who tend to need the loo more (pregnancy, elderly, etc) and always have queues (undo more clothes, periods etc)

I'm sure it made sense when they did it but the end result is retrograde. we need more options for women not less, and havign peopel with disabilites have to join the queue which is always longer as well is totally silly

There should just be toilets all lockable all seperate no sex separation just individual rooms with a loo and a sink
