I'm really suprised! I hope it's in the print edition too.

Transgender law reform has overlooked women’s rights, say MPs

We are not seeing a change in what the words man and woman mean, Stephen. We are seeing a small group of extremists (including you) trying to force a change, and society resisting vehemently.

We can be compassionate and caring about the difficulties of others, but I view it as unreasonable to expect us to sacrifice our own well-being and identity

^ this!

Thank you for making that amendment Stephen. Credit where it's due.

That comment shouldn't have been made in the first place, I hope you will be more thoughtful in future.

And yes, if you could do your part to make other people who speak for the trans community aware of the guidelines and their dangerous rhetoric, then that would speak volumes about your actual care for the vulnerable people you represent.

Where would an intersex person fit - after all there are many different categories of intersex syndromes?

Once again, for the millionth time, Stephen, many, many intersex people and organisations have asked to be left out of this. Please respect that.

Oh - and I worked for many years in and around Westminster. I simply don't recognise your portrait of yourself as a Special Advisor to the Inquiry, as someone who merely serviced the mechanism of the Inquiry and had no actual influence. That's not how the whole Special Advisor thing works. Why would you try and paint it as such a low-key, unassuming, uninfluential position?
