I don't know who the guest with the ginger hair is, but
When poo-pooing the new feminist fairytale book, she's just said the book is written by

"Sour faced feminists with bad clothes, probably on their periods."

Who is she?

If it is , Nikita Gill might come as a bit of a shock to Angela Epstein.

I think the book is Fairer Tales published by HSBC(!) I'm sorry I can't make a link but it's available as a free download - IMO rather an ad for capitalism... . Hilary McKay looks much betterSmile

Thanks. Here it is. Rapunzel as a property developer and Cinderella as a football manager. And why not?

The illustrations are dreadful.

The stories themselves aren't bad, although if one's political view is that capitalism and the patriarchy prop each other up they might not be every- one's cup of tea.

Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Rapunzel are all successful young women
They have used their brains, imagination and good sense to earn enough
money to look after themselves without a prince charming in sight
They decide to start a special club called The Fairy Godmothers, where they
use their money to help other clever young people with brilliant ideas.

Is the ending.

Thanks - and sorry for the delay. I couldn't quite believe what I was hearing and about how women like to be rescued by men. Odious.

She was discussing the book in this article (which looked great and is being rolled out across primary schools to debunk gender stereotypes/myths)
