Solicitors, Barristers - How Do You Recommend We Educate Ourselves?

I've noticed a number of solicitors and barristers on several threads.

FWR seems to be looking at a number of relevant government consultations at present. I'm intimidated by them and I'm an experienced researcher. I also feel that I'm turning into a C21 Mrs Jellaby/Jellyby.

Is there an online resource any of you would recommend so that we can learn about common terms, how to understand their scope, how to respond? Even how to write letters in a way that meets information gathering needs?

How plausible is it to have a Women's Defence Fund should WPUK/FPFW or similar need it? Or a useful individual case turns up.

And are there any charities or groups analysing legal happenings from a feminist lens as they happen?

I saw this on another thread here. Not what you are asking but fascinating website on the law as it's evolved over the last 100 years.

Is it possible to have a legal analysis of the situation if Karen White is under consideration to go back to the female prison estate.

What are the chances of Karen White ending up in the same position as Karen Jones (convicted murderer and attempted rapist who was quietly released because the conundrum could not be resolved):

If you look at the website www.legislation.gov.uk , you'll be able to find all primary and secondary there. Often there is a section that provides the interpretation of particular terms. For example for the GRA 2004, its at section 25.
