Short questionnaire for anyone to fill in. Doesn't ask for name or address. Does however as about trans status and gender not sex.

Yeah I saw that this week, a quick glance and it’s obvious it really isn’t about women and girls though. I wonder what the information they collect is going to be used for as the lack of name/address info leaves it wide open to abuse.

What are the biggest equality issues, in Scotland, around women and girls in sport?

Thank you!

We care passionately about hearing feedback from a diverse range of people.

By answering the quick questions below you’ll help us understand how we’re doing on this.

These questions are optional and anonymous – but really useful to us!
How would you describe your gender identity?

Man/Boy
Woman/Girl
Other
WingsofXXSteel · 07/10/2018 15:38

So two questions then?

RunningWild12 · 07/10/2018 15:45

I agree. Don't know how much use it will be. I imagine they'll be paying attention to feedback from sports clubs? But surely they have a better way of getting their views than random online questionnaire. Consultation mania. People asking random questions about whatever without real understanding of why they're asking people and what they'll do with the responses.

Well let's get as many as we can to complete it.

What points needs raised?

littlbrowndog · 07/10/2018 16:01

Single sex sport
More women coaches as role models for girls

WingsofXXSteel · 07/10/2018 16:11

What about Meadowbank, anyone up to speed on that?

Theswaggyotter · 07/10/2018 16:16

Have completed and recommended reference to sex not gender and that single sex sport is essential to women and girls

Struggling to make any sense of this, can anyone find relevant sections?

Can people include non-trans ideas in their comments please? Funding and opportunities are lacking for women and girls in my area and I don’t want that to be missed by people concentrating on a single issue.

epicclusterfuck · 07/10/2018 16:31

It doesn't seem to make sense. What does gender equality in girls and women's sport mean?

Mamaryllis · 07/10/2018 16:37

Gender equality in women’s and girls sport means that men and boys have to be allowed to play in women’s and girls sport too, providing their T levels are as woted above.
It’s basically just fucking over women’s snd girls sport. ‘Equality’ means that women and girls will be pushed out of women and girls sport by men and boys. Just like Connecticut.
I understand what you are saying, nickety. I really hope that there is actual women and girls sport left to fund.

WingsofXXSteel · 07/10/2018 16:39

Nicketynac do you feel women and girls need financial sex equality and that they don't currently?

RunningWild12 · 07/10/2018 16:44

nicketynak I agree. I put in a lot more about funding, resources in general, more space for women and girls to play sport, better more serious media coverage, better options for careers in sport etc
