I'm sure this is the publicity Guides were after.

We'll extend. Bring the bell tents and the fairy lights.

Knicknackpaddyflak · 03/10/2018 18:50

Wasn't the gulag where we were going to have a cabin of selected men for breeding purposes? (Or was that when feminists took over the world? I can't remember?) I'm sure there was something about Stephen Fry in a cabin a long way down the garden.

Flooffloof · 03/10/2018 18:50

What a great day, PE, Alison Moyer and Duncan Bannatyne, all crossed to the dark side. Biscuits all round.

borntobequiet · 03/10/2018 19:29

Someone might like to take a pic of page 31 “Twitter fury over new Doctor Who”. You might be able to guess what it says.

BlackeyedSusan · 03/10/2018 19:32

I'm just pissed off someone nabbed the milk monitor job. There is something sensory pleasing about jabbing straws through silver milk bottle tops. Mind you I was only 7 last time I got the chance.

I'll be blackboard monitor, wipe off the slogans they make us chant...

Great cartoon by the way.

PE nails it yet again!

AngryAttackKittens · 03/10/2018 19:53

The woke Twitterati are a treasure trove of mockable material. Just wait till PE discovers Tumblr!

EmilieDuChatelet · 03/10/2018 20:01

Bloody love Private Eye! Especially enjoyed the fictitious hashtag "#MeWho".

I’m going to subscribe to PE!

OneFootintheRave · 03/10/2018 20:36

"Why not trans?" Asked literally tens of outraged tweeters who retweeted each other's comments in the early hours of the morning..* * GrinGrinGrinGrin

Popchyk · 03/10/2018 20:41

I liked #MeWho Smile

Ineedacupofteadesperately · 03/10/2018 20:43

Private Eye is brilliant, nails it. Off to buy a copy.

Persifleur · 03/10/2018 20:52

PE has been on the case for some time. I liked their cartoon ages ago about Hampstead Ladies' Pond with the back view of a flasher in a raincoat saying to two startled women: "Don't worry, it's a lady penis."

Shampooeeee · 03/10/2018 21:03

Finally! I know they’ve done a couple of cryptic trans pieces before but this is the most obvious and easy to understand for those who haven’t followed the issue.

BeUpStanding · 03/10/2018 21:04

Oof! Nicely played PE. That was a bold shot and it hit the target dead on

Ambroise · 03/10/2018 21:58

Looking forward to the 'cancelling our subscription' letters next issue. Somehow I don't think the usual suspects will be Eye readers, though. A sense of humour is not high on their list of (gendered) attributes.

I suspect that the very idea of an entire magazine devoted to taking the piss probably offends TRAs on a deep, instinctive level.

EmilieDuChatelet · 03/10/2018 22:14

I still have a chortle at the memory of the magnificent Owen Jones piss-take article about his day at the seaside.

Ambroise · 03/10/2018 22:22

Private Eye was an integral part of the death of respect for the 'establishment' which began with Suez really. Support for TRAs might be our present day establishment's own Suez. The moment that it becomes crystal clear they haven't got a clue What they are doing. That and Brexit anyway.

I didn't understand the Dr Who reference. Were people saying Who must be a trans timelord cos he's changed to a she? I missed it.

BeyondAdultHumanFemale · 05/10/2018 12:26

Ah the OJ day trip 😂

I'd forgotten that - does someone have it saved?
