PE has been on the case for some time. I liked their cartoon ages ago about Hampstead Ladies' Pond with the back view of a flasher in a raincoat saying to two startled women: "Don't worry, it's a lady penis."

Finally! I know they’ve done a couple of cryptic trans pieces before but this is the most obvious and easy to understand for those who haven’t followed the issue.

Looking forward to the 'cancelling our subscription' letters next issue. Somehow I don't think the usual suspects will be Eye readers, though. A sense of humour is not high on their list of (gendered) attributes.

I suspect that the very idea of an entire magazine devoted to taking the piss probably offends TRAs on a deep, instinctive level.

I still have a chortle at the memory of the magnificent Owen Jones piss-take article about his day at the seaside.

Private Eye was an integral part of the death of respect for the 'establishment' which began with Suez really. Support for TRAs might be our present day establishment's own Suez. The moment that it becomes crystal clear they haven't got a clue What they are doing. That and Brexit anyway.

I didn't understand the Dr Who reference. Were people saying Who must be a trans timelord cos he's changed to a she? I missed it.
