For anyone struggling there is a Talk Radio app for both IPhone and Android. I've just rushed about to get to a tv to listen in to realise I don't have the Talk Radio channel on my Virgin Media Box.

Well there we have it. Matthew wright thinks women should back down, compromise and be nice. Sounded like "be quiet dear, don't make a fuss." I guess he hadn't come across a woman as forthright as posie before.

There we are as well accusing posie of "double the amount of hate". There was no hate in what she said.

All I can find of the interview (on TalkRadio app) seems to be a short clip and the clip plays brilliantly to Posie. Really straight talking - she gets in - I don't believe people can change sex, - 90% of trans women have no intention of SRS. Seems to be straight talking v. an accusation of 'unkindness'. It's everything we need people to hear in a nutshell as it speaks to what most people actually think.

Was there a TRA rep providing the counter view or just the journalist (who didn't look trans) objecting to Posie being 'unkind'? (which sounded naive next Posie's straight-talking)

That was basically what happened on This Morning.

I don't give a fig about being kind.

I care that my 8 year old DD has safety, privacy and dignity.

Being 'kind' to biological men who think they've got feelings which means they're women VS my own child's safety. Hmmm, hard choice. Particularly given their brazen disregard for child safety. (I expect I'll get deleted for this)

I felt so dejected after This Morning - the whole set up was revolting and framed to paint Posie as the 'unkind' bullying woman against the simpering India and 'concerned parents Eamonn and Ruth. This though (I've since watched what seems to be the whole thing) felt very different - to me anyway (though I'm clearly biased) it seemed like the opposing side had no argument and was just left bleating weakly about not wanting to be unkind. The conclusion to me seemed to be that 'of course we all know that trans women aren't really women' but let's be charitable to a minority.

So, still no real recognition of the 'land grab' of rights that sits behind the TRA agenda and the potential cost to women BUT a definite shift away from the Ruth 'n' Eamonn framing of 'TWAW'.

I thought Posie's contribution was dynamite - sharp repeatable sound bites covering a lot of ground and hope the short clip gets a much wider airing. Also liked that she refused to be classed as a 'radical feminist' and shut it the attempt to use that as a way of making her views seem extremist.

I was a little bit downcast until I read the thread on the This Morning twitter feed. Most viewers were on her side, they agreed with her and could see it was a set up.

Sisters, Posie is gloriously unshackled .. she is a liberated woman ... enjoy .. this is what liberation sounds and looks like ... men / males are irrelevant to her [other than those she loves in her private life].

No human can ever change sex .. men can never be women ... women can never be men ...

say it again and again in any place and at any time and enjoy that freedom.

I have just watched the newsnight clip you posted and ffs I don't know how Germaine Greer didn't throttle the interviewer (her name escapes me). She was like a dog with a bone, 'that's not very kind' 'what about if they feel like a woman inside' 'if they've had reassignment surgery, surely that should be enough' etc.

Now where have we heard that recently?

@TransposersArePosers It's great isn't it! I do almost get the idea that the interviewer is actually playing devils advocate in keeping on asking the same question in different ways. GG gives her a wry smile on occasion which is almost warm. Love GG, can't believe I previously wrote her off as a 'feminazi' which is so so wrong
