They are discussing a 'feminist poster' which has an accurate definition of a woman on it (adult, female , human) being forced to be taken down. It's a story from The Times of course.
Reviewers are Brendan O'Neill and Jenny Kleeman (sp)

Hugely critical of trans activists and their misogyny and how they are trying to erase women.
Amazingly positive.

The Times story is great. Well done, Posie (and hats off to Lucy Bannerman too)

OvaHere · 26/09/2018 07:22

That was an outstanding speech by Brendan on Sky.

How amazing what points you can get across when nobody is interrupting you and you can speak plainly.

Excellent Times story too.

Well done to Posie (and Dr Harrop) the poster has certainly been the conversation starter she hoped for.

KatVonGulag · 26/09/2018 07:28

Well done Posie.

I knew their bullying would lead to this.

JellySlice · 26/09/2018 07:36

Have you seen the BBC's take on this? Pathetic. But also interesting - look at their description of GirlGuiding: no mention of sex or gender.

Though at least it's high on the front page on the app.

Sarahconnor1 · 26/09/2018 07:41

I caught the paper review when it was repeated this morning. Brendan was excellent and clearly set out the issue.

i think those who choose to look at Dr Harrop's timeline will quickly identify who is watching, scrutinising and intending to cause people to feel unsafe.

Yes to this. He is so entrenched he can't see just how awful his behaviour is.

Anlaf · 26/09/2018 07:49

Just opened the Times and was thrilled to see it's the fourth story in the digital edition.

We'll done Adrian!

JellySlice · 26/09/2018 08:01

Woops - wrong thread!

scepticalwoman · 26/09/2018 09:10

That Time article is heaving with critical comments! They're almost 100% critical of the dire doctor.

Biologifemini · 26/09/2018 09:18

Perhaps he should complain to the GMC about his anatomy and physiology textbooks. Because they would take him seriously.
I’d love to know how he treats female patients.

Ereshkigal · 26/09/2018 09:21

Said on the other thread. Genuine heartfelt thanks to Brendan for that and I will buy him a huge drink if I ever meet him.

IAmLurkacus · 26/09/2018 09:23

scepticalwoman my favourite comment is ‘absolute state of that idiot’ I’m sure transsexuals would rather people like him, sit down, STFU and stop making them all look like demented loons.

scepticalwoman · 26/09/2018 10:34

Whoever Moira is, that's an outstanding comment and has got nearly 400 likes (and the Times readers don't tend to like in such numbers on these stories).

Flowers for Moira.

Elephantinacravat · 26/09/2018 10:44

Wow, that sky news video is fabulous!

Well done Posie. This is all so heartening.

UnderHerEye · 26/09/2018 10:50

Some days I even wonder if Harrop is actually a secret plant, his Twitter posts look like parodies, and every time complains about something it peaktrans huge numbers.

Thanks DR. H, keep on giving !

OvaHere · 26/09/2018 10:53

I noticed that, likes on these Times articles rarely hit triple figures. It suggests more people are reading and taking an interest.

littlbrowndog · 26/09/2018 10:54

I know. It feels like a parody
Cos fine to be an idiot in private

But being an idiot out and proud in public. Hahaha

Freespeecher · 26/09/2018 10:56

Is Harrop the one who talks about people learning valuable lessons? I just hope he watches the Brendan clip and learns one himself.

OvaHere · 26/09/2018 11:00

I don't think Harrop will see this as a bad thing. I think one of his goals is to be a high profile supporter of all things trans. Like his friend Dr Webberly. It's a growing and lucrative industry.

NameChangedAgain18 · 26/09/2018 11:19

How does commenting work on Times articles? All the comments I've made are "pending approval".

OvaHere · 26/09/2018 11:20

They seem to approve them in large groups so at some point yours and about 50 others will suddenly land. They don't appear to moderate in real time as they come in.

BeyondAdultHumanFemale · 26/09/2018 11:21

Lots of cookies to Brendan O'Neill, he absolutely gets our arguments!!!

NameChangedAgain18 · 26/09/2018 11:35

Thanks OvaHere

ahagwearsapointybonnet · 26/09/2018 11:42

It's on page 3 of the print version (and big!), so literally the first thing you see when you open the paper!
At least one of the online comments has the link to the consultation in, too. Hopefully that'll get some more people filling it in.

OvaHere · 26/09/2018 11:50

They've released the new comment batch now. I seriously underestimated it - 80+ new comments. It's a popular article. Grin
