That's much worse than the photos. Sad

WhatAmISupposedToBeDoing · 01/09/2018 18:19

Let's stop calling it groping. That has semi comedic, Benny Hill-esque connotations. She was sexually assaulted.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 01/09/2018 18:19

Wow @ guardian coverage

they do seem to have a certain, um, misogynist perspective these days don't they

and this
"Images of the moment showed Ellis’s hand holding Grande well above her waist, with his fingers pressing "against one side of her chest.
BREAST Guardian he was touching (squeezing, feeling) her BREAST.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 01/09/2018 18:20

She looks so uncomfortable with it.

YeTalkShiteHen · 01/09/2018 18:21

And he knows she can't and won't make a fuss, and that he can just apologise and move on.

That’s the worst part isn’t it, knowing that she can’t/won’t make a fuss, even though Aretha herself probably would have smacked the fucker in the face! The power he has in that knowledge is the problem.

OlennasWimple · 01/09/2018 18:22

Urgh. I've just watched the video Sad Angry

And this is what he does when the world is watching...

ErrolTheDragon · 01/09/2018 18:47

My guess is he didn't do this 'knowingly', rather that - worse - it's habitual.

He said he hugged all the performers during Friday’s eight-hour service. “I hug all the female artists and the male artists,” Ellis said. “Everybody that was up, I shook their hands and hugged them. That’s what we are all about in the church. We are all about love.

Christian love doesn't require a lack of respect for other people's physical boundaries. Hmm

fidgetspinner555 · 01/09/2018 19:16

Poor Ariana. You can tell by her body language she found it horrible.

So much victim blaming, it's awful. Not her fault.

Used it to show my sons what not to do. Ever.

PyeWackets · 01/09/2018 19:48

God Sad

we've all been there.

Poor lass.

Everyoneiswingingit · 01/09/2018 19:52

Yuk! She is a very slim woman. You know the difference between firm ribcage and soft breast fgs!

IfIWasABirdIdFlyIn2ACeilingFan · 01/09/2018 20:03

Oh god!! That brought me right back to a time I’d rather forget.

Make a fuss Ariana! I support you. I’ll fuss with you. We all saw it. Everyone.

Italiangreyhound · 01/09/2018 20:10

Fucking disgusting behaviour.

Thsy poor woman has been through a lot. Now this.

Just sick.

ChattyLion · 01/09/2018 20:41

Ugh I feel so sorry for her. You can see what she thinks all over her face on the BBC video. His fingers are dug hard into her breast in plain sight while he’s talking bollocks about his 20 year old daughter saying he’s old and poor Ariana’s having to laugh along..

colouringinpro · 01/09/2018 20:46

Totally disgusting.

He's clearly touching the side of her breast very firmly.

Her face and leaning away says it all.

And on National TV at a high profile funeral. WTF does he do off camera.

Feel so sorry for Ariana SadAngry

SemperIdem · 01/09/2018 21:06

If anybody was in any doubt, and judging by comments elsewhere online a fair few are, you only have to look at her facial expression and body language. Clear discomfort and “what the fuck are you doing” written all over her.

What a disgusting man.

StealthPolarBear · 01/09/2018 21:07

Presumably he accidently squeezes the mens groins? It's so easily done and no harm meant.
No? What a shock.

StealthPolarBear · 01/09/2018 21:07

Especially if their trousers were tight. They're asking for it.

barnacharmer · 01/09/2018 21:12

Ugh, so many time their hand has been too high or too low but they always do it in a whoops, I didn't realise way. Seeing it done so publicly just makes me think all the times it's happened and I was too young/ not confident enough to tell them to fuck off. How can you be confident enough to sexually assaulted women with so many witnesses/ the whole fucking thing on camera???

IamReginaFalange · 01/09/2018 21:14

I am fed up with women being worried about not being polite to say anything when something like this happens.
In the situation he knew she couldn’t react as she was in front of so many people.
Vile pig Angry

barnacharmer · 01/09/2018 21:15

As for what she was wearing, after telling my mom about an incident like this, 'Yes, but you are a very sexual person.' I was on my way home from work in a school in school appropriate clothing

StealthPolarBear · 01/09/2018 21:16

Bar :(

Haworthia · 01/09/2018 21:17

Eurgh, my skin in crawling watching that. I’m really glad this is blowing up. Some of the Twitter responses are depressing though - why didn’t she move away, slap his hand, say something? The usual victim blaming crap.

Whereas any woman knows she was thinking: “does he know he’s doing that, shit, maybe he doesn’t, maybe his hand will move away in a second, god I hope it does...”

IamReginaFalange · 01/09/2018 21:17

I just realised my earlier post meant I blame the women - I don’t of course!
I meant the society wants us to be polite and shut up and not make a fuss.

IamReginaFalange · 01/09/2018 21:19

Haworthia - yes and I think she’s probably thinking ‘shit I am on tv with (however many 10000’s people watching) what shall I do?’
