Apologies if this has been shared before but I was on Youtube and this video appeared in my recommended:

I thought the content might interest a few of you, but more interestingly perhaps the comments underneath the video. I am quite surprised that viewers seem to view the video so negatively and have really taken offence about her take on femininity and pregnancy.

I've got a headache after watching that video.

Was it just me or did she claim that wanking into a cup so her sperm could be frozen was oh so terrible and masculine and triggering etc etc, whereas trying TTC (which presumably involves her penis ejaculating sperm) with her female partner she didn't seem to have the same problem with?

I'm confused as to what the hell she was going on about to be honest.

But it's clear her problems are so so much worse than your bog standard woman with real life fertility issues.

Is anyone surprised any more when transgenders assert that they feel that they are more a woman than a genetic woman is because of the performance they put on?
I have read and heard so many say this by now immediately followed by a denial that it is a comparison that all it elicits is an eyeroll.

#thathappened

I mean, the doctor could have been visually impaired, and hearing impaired, but...

I saw this earlier and was going to post it here. The video is fairly mundane really, a lot of blabbering on about nothing but the comments on the video are very interesting, very few are in favour of what Gigi is saying, a lot saying she isn't a real woman and can't ever understand what being a woman is like. Which is really interesting considering it's YouTube which is generally a younger audience and she can moderate the comments.

Interestingly as well Gigi has definitely suggested they have had surgery and in this video she then admits she hasn't. I'm not sure what that means but it's a bit weird to insinuate you don't have a penis when you do. She's sort of saying "hey so I know I said I was a lesbian well actually I have a dick and have plain old PIV sex, a bit like a straight man, sorry" she sort of admits that she's not a woman at all because she's very sheepish about it.

I assumed the Dr thought it was 2 women because when they filled out the forms they will have inevitably had to fill out they will have written sex=woman for Gigi. It's very unlikely that they wouldn't have had to fill in anything before the appointment.

Also if Gigi was infact a biological woman, as a lesbian she would be having the same problem of not being able to have a baby with her partner who was genetically both of theirs. When in fact as Gigi has a fully functioning penis she doesn't have so much of this problem, because providing she is still fertile they can have biological children.

I don't mind her saying genetic woman, it is better than cis and at least it acknowledges that she is not a biological woman.

Didn't Gregory identify as gay before the switch to Gigi happened?

TinyRick · 29/08/2018 02:34

Yes, AAK

Also if you click on the Gender Trender link I posted just up a bit, GiGi states that they are 'Not transgender, not a tr**ny' just a gay boy who likes wearing make up and pink clothes (oh and is 'hotter than your girlfriend')

thebewilderness · 29/08/2018 02:53

Most of the time it seems when transgenders say they have had surgery they mean breast implants and facial surgery or laser hair removal, while they seem to imply they have had an orchiectomy and penis inversion.

ICJump · 29/08/2018 03:46

Might thoughts.

  1. Gigi is a massive bell end
  2. Gigi has no clue how birth and maternity services dehumanise women.
Movablefeast · 29/08/2018 06:02

The comments are saying that she implied or even LIED and her followers were under the impression that she had had “bottom surgery” and had no penis. I think this this does seem to be the case as she sheepishly “reveals”that yes she realized she was quite attached to her penis and gradually years had passed and she was happy to hang onto it.

What is interesting is she seems to be suggesting that they were not preventing pregnancy (although she seems very ambivalent about it) and found Nats was not falling pregnant. The doctor says that hormones can affect sperm and of course Gigi then says she has been taking hormones for years. So the reality is hitting of how these medical interventions can really have life altering repercussions. She seems to be taken aback.

So many people who are identifying as Transgender are still very young (under 30). They are usually not at a time in their life yet to be thinking about children. I think also with all the turmoil in their lives with transition that life decisions are put back further if anything. So I don’t think the reality of their biology is going to hit in large numbers for another decade. It is sad.

Italiangreyhound · 30/08/2018 02:11

Yes, Movablefeast I think you are right there are a lot of implications. We had a lot of expensive fertility treatment and it's hard to imagine earlier in life how important being able to have a family can be.

silentcrow · 30/08/2018 02:41

Anyone hear the sound of lawsuits in the making?

I rewatched the first part of the LAWS Plymouth talk tonight and Stephanie from Transgender Trend answered a question about class action suits against Lupron (the drug used as a puberty blocker for "trans children" now, also first used in cases of precocious puberty which is where the lawsuits are coming from). She said that we probably won't start seeing trans-related legal action for a decade, or even two, when people start realising they've been misinformed about side effects and consequences like infertility. Worse yet, where surgeons have been successfully sued for surgery which is later regretted, the settlements are subject to gagging orders. Makes an absolute mockery of informed consent.

I’ve seen this so many times.

Transwomen saying they are more female than women because they’ve had to fight for their identity whereas we’ve had it had it handed to us on a plate, ffs.

And Magdalen, you’re a fucking legend.
