Soooo it seems that the amazing StickerWoman's campaign has already had an impact. Given the censorship of women who have concerns about self-identification this does seem to be one of the only ways for drawing the general public's attention to the consultation on the change in law (that closes in just over 7 weeks!!!).

It seems to me that SW needs the help of all MNers who are gender critical. If every one of them posted even one sticker a day I suspect that would have a huge impact.

It's really pretty easy to do once you get started - have a few ready to go in your handbag (complete with the corner of the double sided sticky tape bent back) and every time you see an opportunity.....do it! It's amazing how many opportunities there are when you are out and about each day (bus stops, changing rooms, loos, car parks, lifts etc etc). And really the chances of getting "caught" are extremely slim (there's really not CCTV on every angle of everywhere - we're not in 1984 yet although we soon could feel closer to it when it comes to our use of language if the law is changed). And even then if challenged a sensible conversation can ensue (to explain why there is a need for the stickers).

Some printables here (all you need is a printer, scissors and double sided sticky tape): www.dropbox.com/sh/4n362ya99atnuhq/AAAFs1-fP1Xu96liCC4OZmN-a?dl=0

Not long to go now.

Today a woman took my empty Sainsburys* trolley as I was returning it. Except it wasn't completely empty...
I watched her pick up the FPFW leaflet that was lying in the trolley, read it all the way across the carpark and put it in her bag. Smile

I've also noticed that Waitrose* trolleys have a handy little clipboard on the handle to use for shopping lists. It really is very useful. It turns out to be exactly the same size as a leaflet.

Other supermarkets are available.

Critical brilliant

The Manchester ones are fantastic. Funny and to the point.

I have observed that those advertising panels on the back of toilet doors have frames which are not very tight-fitting. Some have a gap big enough to fit postcards in. Hmm

Booking marking for assistance on being a very naughty woman next week and spending my pin money on stickers.

Oh my goodness Critical - I love that idea. I feel a trip to the supermarket coming on tomorrow. All other ideas gratefully received.

I find that the area by the doors in train carriages is often empty but then people waiting to open the doors later in the journey have lots of time on their hands to read posters that may have somehow got stuck in the area.

I've also found that somehow the small stickers seem to get stuck to the gates in the London underground/overground very easily as I go past. No idea how they are escaping from my handbag (and I must thank Longchamp for designing their Pliage bag with StickerWoman's small stickers in mind).

All ideas
