I don’t believe trans women are women, and I never have. I don’t believe it because it isn’t true.

If you are disturbed by this really existing state of affairs and want to blame someone, blame your God if you have one, blame evolution if it makes you feel better — blame reality itself (God knows I denounce reality regularly!) but don’t blame women who have the gall to say it.

Extraordinary that Humanists have swallowed a faith-based ideology!

Of all people to swallow that cultist crap and double-speak, the Humanists are the last people I thought would fall for it.

I didn't know Connor before this evening. He saw something I'd written and wrote his own piece tonight. He sent it to me and I asked if I could share it on twitter - because he doesn't use Twitter or Facebook. (Sensible guy!). I hope to chat to him - he writes from the heart.

At every opportunity I pay tribute to Julie Bindel who first talked with me about all of this, 11 years ago. She paid a price for her early commitment to this cause that no man (incl me) will ever fully comprehend. I don't forget that.

Thank you. It's good to hear. I fear that people may forget the contributions of these fearless women, who have been vilified and systematically persecuted for speaking the truth. I am so indebted to each and every one of these heroes of female rights and common sense. History often erases women. I want them remembered.

It's definitely sounding like a lot of doubts are being expressed privately by people on the left and from within the gay community. I've been seeing a trickle of these too, ever since Johnny spoke out. Am very much hoping that this is a sign the dam will burst soon.

I think that, amongst 'progressive' circles the male gay voices now speaking out about this will be seen to have more legitimacy than ours, since we are immediately shut down and dismissed as 'T*s'. This slur can't be used against men so maybe more pp will listen to what the arguments actually are?

Wonder what acronym will be used against gay men...?

Blimey. It's both heartening to see the traction really beginning among men, and profoundly depressing that I know nothing useful will happen until their voices join in.

So yes, well done fellas. Entirely right that you speak up. But by heaven, the women that have taken flak, and even a beating before now, standing up to this shit are my role models forever.

I thought it was probably the best article I've read about the whole transwomen are women thing.

Probably because he acknowledges his own initial cowardice and doesn't try to make himself out to be noble.

He keeps the article to things that he knows to be true and things that he feels in his own heart.

Honest and true.
