I don't know if she reads Mumsnet, but THANK YOU, Magdalen. When I first started wondering about all of this, Berns' videos were the only ones that spoke a language I could actually understand, instead of this Queer Theory steaming pile of ordure impenetrable nonsense.

Outspoken, intelligent as fuck, strong, hilarious, and generally amazing. The kind of woman you're in awe of (and more than a little intimidated by - in the best way). Perfect combination for a feminist, especially one almost single-handedly taking on the internet. It breaks my heart that nature has dealt such a shit hand to her.

Nothing but love for Magdalen, complete gratitude for her work, and wishing her well in this continued battle with her health.

Her wit and intelligence and insights have contributed so much to the battle of words around the TRA ideology. She's achieved so much already.

Gosh so sorry to hear that. Magdalen woke me up to all of this with her Riley J Dennis 'lesbians who don't want to date transwomen are transphobic' video. I actually laughed out loud at that as I thought it was so absurd. And now here we are with lesbians protesting at Pride and the penis stickers.

Such very sad news about her health. She's brilliant, and talks such cool clear sense. She's exactly what we need right now

Only just become aware of the whole GC debate and her ... she's fabulous. The first one I watched was the one about a trans man asking their employer if they could wear the men's uniform. Hilarious.

Had some more troubling fits yesterday and ended up sirens blaring to A&E in the a.m. - they were worried in case it was a stroke. Fitted some more on arrival, got sedated, spent night under observation but glad to be home now & my right side seems to have gone back to "normal".

Berns is poorly, and very brave, and inspires me, for one, to keep going with this, in her name. One of her tweets urging us to have courage was followed up by a woman in Pussy Riot urging the same.

She's also got a fine giggle.

I had no idea she was ill! She is an amazing woman - her videos are so spot on.

All the more reason for the rest of us to raise our heads above the parapet, speak out in our own names - only 8 weeks and 1 day until the consultation about changes to the law comes to an end. Now or never really.

I admire her, I wish her comfort and rest after that incident.

There seems to be a rumour on Twitter that MB has passed away.

She is very sadly in palliative care but I'm sure she is still with us.

She is a huge inspiration. Her clarity of thinking and witty expression is unmatched, in my opinion. Her vidoes are what finally pushed me over the peak and into firm gender critical territory. Fuck glioblastoma, an utterly shitty thing to have happened to an amazing woman. Much love to Magdalen.

Magdalen is a warrior who has inspired many women to become involved the the fight to retain womens rights and spaces. Her blogs were what first made me realise that women had a fight on their hands to protect themselves and their children.
