Have WEP ever condemned violence and threats against women?

I'm talking in relation to the threats and actual violence directed to gender critical women.

I am aware that they hold a different stance on this issue but it is still possible to condemn violence against women who hold a different view from your own - and the motivation for these threats and the violence is definitely misogynistic. Men who express similar views - and even men who are actually abusive towards and attack trans people - are not subject to the same abuse. The nature of the threats (e.g. explicit, detailed threats of sexual violence against female bodies) are misogynistic. And it is part of a pattern where women receive rape and death threats for attempting to take part in politicial life.

I know one branch of WEP has openly supported the perpetrator of the assault on Maria MacLachlan, which I find even more abhorrent than their TWAW line. Have WEP as an organisation condemned violence against women (including those whose views they disagree with)?

The WEP is such a waste of energy. It makes me quite cross every time I watch Bake Off.

Ha, this!

I think we should be asking a lot more questions about a political party supporting a person who battered a woman and was rightly convicted.
Which big names support WEP and are they on Twitter?

Some nice tweets with a screenshot of that Lambeth tweet could get this some exposure.

Hey @Sandi (is she on Twitter?) have you any comment on @ WEP placing their backing behind a person who physically attacked a 60yo woman? @ gbbo @ channel4 @ dailymail @ someone

Who would be interested in this?
JBH?
Jeremy Vine?
Andrew Gilligan?
Hadley Freeman?
James Kirkup?
David Davis?
Sophie Walker?

No party has come out and condemned violence against women Hmm. We need our own.

(PS - to the pp denying the brick incident, the whole downstairs of the building is the Labour office. I know there are weird conspiracy theories that about 3,978 businesses occupy the premises but they really don't)

Well that puts paid to any fledgling support I may have had for WEP.

When asked about why they liked the Tweet, WEP Lambeth further stated:

I really don't want more social media (never had FB, Twiter etc.) but - I can't see if anyone has asked Lambeth recently if they still stand by this?

My COI here is that Lambeth & Heather are why I gave up on WEP despite being a founding member.

WEP: Hi were are the Women's Equality Party
Woman: So how are you different to other parties?
WEP: We stand for Women and Equality.
Woman: Yes and....
WEP: We are lead by women for women.
Woman: ...but how?
WEP: We believe in feminism
Woman: Like I said, what does that mean?
WEP: Well transwomen are women and face oppression.
Woman: Er... thats not centring women. You aren't any different to the other parties.
WEP: Errr, er we'll have a debate then.
Woman: Now about those women's issues what is your position
WEP: Whilst ruffling paper and on googling for some shiny, trendy slogan which seems vaguely feminist
We stand for Women's Equality. Gender Pay Gap. Child Care. Er...
Woman: So you are full of empty vacious sentiments which have very little real connection with key issues that women - particularly disadvantaged women - face. You just sound like a nice idea.
WEP: We are feminists!!!
