There's talk that actually Stonewall is defending Jess Bradley, suspended Transgender Student Officer. ?? If this is untrue, then where is the money coming from? Always follow the money.

Looking in to the legal aspects of this has really made me think that actually for lawyers trans activism may be a bit of a gift.
You get so many different things to think about (privacy/discrimination/healthcare/penal system), there are complex interactions and questions here. And if you are on the side of the activist then you are a human rights hero.
If I were in law, I would get into this game.

WRT the whistleblower, it could easily be someone either into exhibitionism (but who feels that particular blog was distasteful), someone researching as per the adultwork saga or just someone who knows JB outside the trans activism world. I wouldn't focus on the whistleblower as it really could be anyone, the motivation could just as easily be personal.

I agree with TeenageDramaQueen, and would go with her option 1.

The person in question has been locked in a long term battle with, particularly, the Mail over privacy/Press freedom. The Mail seem to have both deeper pockets and a Millwall type "nobody likes us but we don't care" attitude on this issue.
