www.quora.com/Why-dont-cosmetic-surgeons-expand-the-pelvic-bone-on-MtF-transgender-people-as-an-alternative-to-silicone-implants

I didn't realize we were this different to men!

It also goes some way to explaining why TW really shouldn't be competing in women's sport.
Their whole bone structure is different and no amount of hormones or fat distribution will ever change the basic structure of the bones.

A narrow pelvis etc is more suited to running.

the comments section is fairly disturbing

I’ve got really narrow hips and it makes me feel awkward as snot and more than a little dysphoric when I’m looking at pictures of myself from behind where the difference is most glaring. If there was a surgery that could give me wider hips I’d be down for that (or shoulders that aren’t as broad? yeah, even less likely to happen.) But for the moment, the practical considerations involved stop this from being a thing that would be available to trans patients and truthfully it may never be. We’re getting better about recognizing people’s gender identity younger and getting them on HRT at a young enough age to impact skeletal development.

I'm starting to think there really is a disturbing agenda taking place regarding children and encouraging them to transition and take hormones.

I remember discovering this in my late teens - I was squashed in the back of a car with a couple of male friends and we got onto the subject of bum sizes and who was taking up most room. They were both six-footers, with a fairly standard set of measurements for tall, thin blokes - 32" inside leg, 32" waist, hips essentially the same as waist measurement. I was a slim (size 8), small woman - with 36" hips. So it wasn't just that my hips were larger than theirs in proportion to our respective heights - mine were quite significantly larger in absolute terms!
