Standing our ground in public spaces

I was at the pool today swimming lengths - clearly in the lane next to the edge of the pool swimming lengths.

Two dofferent men, at different times, started swimming in the same lane as me as if I wasn't there.

This has got to be sexist, right? I've never seen a man do this to another man.

I did stand my ground but I was infuriated!

Most pools have fast slow and medium lanes, maybe they just wanted to swim at that particular speed?

AsAProfessionalFekko · 11/07/2018 22:03

Which lane? Were you keeping up with the speed limit?

People always dawdle in the fast lane and it drives DS nuts when he is trying to train.

PerspicaciaTick · 11/07/2018 22:06

Isn't it usual to share lanes and be hacked off with the swimmers who either potter or do the "thrash and splash". It is certainly something DH experiences regularly. He too stands his ground.

Ok fair enough. I just thought it very rude and intrusive

There are no speed limits set at the pool and no land is r in fenced for fast swimmers on a wednesda y
