Williams had been employed 10 years and was initially approached by two female administrators about the images in April 2016.

Mr Phillips said: 'Staff members were saying 'I don't think this is proper, it's disgusting, it makes my stomach turn'.'

'In North Wales, while working as a teaching assistant, female colleagues made complaints to management, forbidding me from using female toilets and changing rooms.

Why would women object to sharing spaces with this person?

Dr Williams, also known as Jane, accused colleagues at the school of discriminating against her.

She also said she was subject to prejudice because she was transgender.

The only point at which being trans had anything to do with anything was why she says she did the pics in the first place, which sounds like it was for validation, to me.

"She said she had been 'celebrating my femininity' and declared: 'As a feminist woman I am deeply opposed to pornography. Erotic imagery celebrates the beauty of the human body. I posed for erotic and not explicit images.'"

"Celebrating her femininity", a.k.a. validation. Which I find rather sad.

But, trans or natal, a TA is going to be fired/allowed to resign for porn pictures being out there. As QueenNovo said earlier, the TA governing body crack down on this stuff.

Sacked for inappropriate behaviour. Nothing to see here.

Why does everything have to be somehow transgender issues? Can't we go back to describing people for what they are? Its a TA who broke their code of conduct, gender means heehaw to this.

I used to work with a trans woman who’s a “single Mum” and likes to empathise with all the single mums in local parenting groups, about how hard it is being a mum and dealing with the shit work... except they have never lived with the child or had contact with them until they were an adult. It’s not surprising that this upsets people but everyone clearly feels they have to support the statements.

Well.....this.
Let's all "support the statements"...Poor transwoman gets fired for doing what a biological female would've been fired for in the same circumstances. Transwoman want to be treated like biological women? Well there you go snowflake - that's what it's like. You behave inappropriately and this is what happens.

She didn't upload the photos, and presumably didn't ask for them to appear,

She posed for them to go into a top-shelf magazine, which means that they became publically available, that's kind of what publication means. Anyone with a scanner could upload them after that. As for the indecent video, was she working as a "camgirl" or making a video for a lover? The remote viewer in a cam session could screen capture the video easily with VLC or similar. This is one of those times where in principle a woman should be able to share private nudes and trust the recipient, but in practise she can't. Or she could just be lying about not owning the account, she wouldn't be the first to lie about owning a twitter account to save her own skin.

What PP said: welcome to womanhood, where sexual agency (known to less-tolerant people as "sluttiness") will get you fired from certain jobs. This is unrelated to being trans.

As an aside, this is one of my huge worries about normalisation of "sex work" by NUS and others: a student pays her way through uni by being a "camgirl" but someone capturing the footage could destroy her career years later. And capturing a video of a computer screen is easy, I've done it to make how-to videos.

Well and also our standards of behaviour for people working with children in schools is higher than 'is it legal?'.

It's legal to live with a sex offender but you'd be barred from working in a school.

Obviously you can't work with children if you've done commercially available porn! And the same standards are enforced for men.

Quite. I agree the trans part in this instance is irrelevant. TA behaved inappropriately and was disciplined for it. Surely we are not supposed to ignore all bad behaviour as the person is trans? That can.t be right..hmm Hmm
