The lurkers thread has really brightened up a shitty week

Is anyone else having problems with MN loading? Everything is very slow and the adverts aren't always showing. When I type I get an intermittant freeze and then typing appears....

Evenin' all. Been out all day getting hot and bothered and not in an especially fun way. Just checking on developments and stunned that a) Damn has doubled down even further on the thread wherein they admit all sorts of unsavoury things about themselves and b) so many people didn't clock the ImTransProveThatImNot thread was GFery for screenshots of the highest order. I mean, come on, people, that user name gives the whole wide-eyed innocent act up in itself.

I had to stomp off to other threads a few times and sit on my hands at the gf nature of the pbp.

I swear these dickheads think they are some kind of ninja operatives, coming in with their bait and tugging at the string, pretending they're James/Jane Bond. It's like you can hear the stage whispers giving away their game plan as they giggle and hug themselves with glee. Weird.

Ha! Well, you probably weren't wrong to think that may well have been a motivation for the PBP, but it's hard to be completely sure what kind of creep is behind that sort of goading. I think I find it of the same order as the gits who appropriate specific women's health issues and events. They are attempting to appeal to our 'better nature' - the socialization that feels sad for those in difficult circumstances and wants to help someone who is struggling/doesn't understand something.
They don't want to help anyone themselves, they just want to use women's socialization against them, as a tool to leverage rights away from them. The more you examine this behaviour, the more despicable it is revealed to be.

Considering I only said yesterday that it wouldn't be long til the MRAs cottoned on to the... special treatment, I think ImTransProveThatImNot may have seen that post, given their name...

Beyond, to you, yes. I very much got a vibe of someone who wasn't really invested in what they were saying personally. The TRAs are a wee bit more convincingly affronted and tantrum-prone.

Pretty sure that ninjas did not traditionally announce themselves by wearing neon color and shouting "die in a fire, bigot!" upon entering the building.
