The most upsetting thing about this is not that there are evil, violent abusers out there, it's that I know there will be females around him who, on being made aware of his background, will make excuses for him or say he deserves a second chance
There will be people saying that. Women who defend this behaviour are no worse and no better than men who defend it.
There is only one thing standing in the way of female liberation and that is other women. If we had widespread solidarity we would achieve all our aims
This case isn't about female liberation. It has to do with bullying. What on earth has widespread solidarity got to do with it?
The attitude of bullies needs to change- it is not women's responsibility to fix that although it certainly would not go amiss if men were to call out other men's bullying behaviour.
