But surely artificial fibres cause pollution and natural fibres like cotton depend on huge farms that destroy biodiversity.

I am putting it under feminism chat because of overlap of interests. May need moving.

Wearing fur disgusts me. Mink farms are revolting. It does not make wearing fur any less obscene just because an escaped mink might have been killed as a pest- it is still giving validation to cruelty.

I was also going to say something along the same lines as Lass. With the possible exception of rabbit (which isn't commonplace as food), we don't eat furry animals.

There is no such thing as ethical fur. It is as ridiculous , self- serving and devoid of ethics as a concept as ethical porn.
