@JunkMale101 does not show up but is worth following. Also Shelley Charlesworth.

ScarletBegonias · 20/06/2018 20:05

The most recent tweet I'm seeing is 41m ago. I'm assuming there should be ones more recent than that.

Melamin · 20/06/2018 20:07

There is one disruptive tweeter Sad

ScarletBegonias · 20/06/2018 20:08

Now picking up Shelley's feed. Thanks for the suggestion.

Melamin · 20/06/2018 20:11

Scarlet - if you are following on a pc, there is a tab called 'latest' that you need to be on - otherwise you get 'top tweets'

I can't find it on I-pad (probably need an app) so I follow people who are there once I have worked it out.

ScarletBegonias · 20/06/2018 20:16

Melanin - it's the same on the iPad app and I'd just realised that I wasn't looking at the latest tweets. Blush

See what you mean about the 'disruptive tweeter' but they can be ignored quite easily.

Melamin · 20/06/2018 20:18

Yep - keeps them busy and off these boards for a while too Wink

Melamin · 20/06/2018 20:20

JENNI HARVEY talks about how changing sex or a birth certificate will mean there are no legal document pertaining to a persons biological sex. The only document will be a gender recognition certificate which you have no legal right to ask to see.

This has always worried me - if you are born female you no longer have valid documentation of your sex. Where does that leave you Hmm

R0wantrees · 20/06/2018 21:55

Definitely seems to have been disruption for a number of accounts either with the # WPUK or that many accounts are shadow banned.

Shadow banning seems a difficult thing to understand as, from what I have read, an account is not notified. So will be unaware that their tweets are hidden. I am unsure if there is anyway a twitter user can appeal this sanction or know the reasoning behind it.

I noticed that a twitter user who was hostile to WPUK commented that there would be shadow bans because so many of those tweeting were hateful etc. That the shadow banning 'proved' this This person also insisted on associating WPUK with the 'far right' and conservative religious values etc.

SirVixofVixHall · 20/06/2018 22:21

I can’t find the latest tweets, there seem to be hardly any. So few that I worried it had been cancelled as they are all from hours ago. What is going on ?

Pratchet · 20/06/2018 22:27

I didn't realise Dawn Furness commented on the bomb.

Pratchet · 20/06/2018 22:31

Just had a roam around twitter and it's so sad - so many 'goody's' haven't tweeted in the last two or three weeks. So many have been suspended. So sad.

It will all be for nothing in the end. We will win. They will be writing to their mps and councillors instead.

pombear · 20/06/2018 22:47

We're all talking outside twitter-dom Pratchet. You and so many others have helped us frame the debate.

Sadly for the activists, it's harder to 'round up' and report people going about their business talking to other people in the real world.

Must be really fucking frustrating.

Hence the ramping up of aggression in the virtual world.

Pratchet · 20/06/2018 23:48

Thanks pombears that is good to hear. I think they must be enraged that is actually starting to look like we are being bullied and hunted. This is not good for them.
