Glad this has been suspended, it's just full of hate. It's not supporting trans youth at all. It's against them. With a few things being mentioned like it blaming internet use and “social contagion” for “glamorising medical transition” and causing “rapid-onset gender dysphoria” in children.
There's not a drop of hate in it. It's written by people desperately trying to protect children. We call that compassion, whether you agree with the research it's based on or not.
In regards to your specifics:
Glamourising Transition
The Scottish Trans pack for schools included a list of trans celebrities to hold up as role-models and posters ready to print out to encourage children to come out as trans. (I can link it if you don't believe me). It talks about celebrating being trans explicitly.
It is dangerous to encourage children to come out as trans and hold it up as a positive thing which is what Mermaids, Allsorts and Scottish Trans do in their schools advice.
Social Contagion
There is strong evidence this is a real thing. We see clusters of children coming out as trans, we see a widespread and sudden rise in both parents and children declaring their child is trans. We see online conversations on pro-trans websites encouraging people to identify as trans and sudden sharp rises in it by region. Social Contagion is a real thing and therefore something to be deeply concerned about. We also have accounts from detransitioners talking about how they were led into thinking of themselves as trans by other trans people. I've listened to such accounts and they're heart-breaking.
ROGD
As with Social Contagion, we have plenty of evidence for this. In fact, we've had members here talking about exactly this. It's bizarre that you would deny this exists.
This information pack is very important. And it's received excellent responses from schools and medical professionals and parents.
